"I am deeply blessed with privilege," disclosed Jack Quaid, the star of 'The Boys'. As the son of Hollywood icons Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, Jack has encountered numerous comments labeling him as a 'nepo baby' — a term referring to those born into fame and privilege. And interestingly, he embraces the tag with open arms.

In a candid chat with The Daily Beast, tied to the promotion of 'The Boys' season four, Jack tackled the whispers surrounding his acting career, acknowledging his parents' influence. "I tend to concur with those assertions," he confessed. "My privileged position allowed me to secure representation early on, which is a significant hurdle overcome. I realized the opportunities ahead of me were far greater than those afforded to many other actors. But I've strived to prove my worth, working harder than ever to justify walking through that open door."

Months earlier, Meg Ryan, in an interview with Glamour ahead of her film 'What Happens Later,' reminisced about watching Jack in a middle school production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and marveled at his innate talent. However, she expressed concern that his association with her and his father might overshadow his skills. "Jack is exceptionally gifted," she told the magazine. "He's a natural, surpassing even my own abilities. Labeling him a 'nepo baby' dismisses his dedication, his gifts, and his sensitivity to his privilege."

Upon reading his mother's interview, Jack told The Daily Beast that his initial reaction was one of love and understanding. He clarified that Meg wasn't negating his 'nepo baby' status, but rather emphasizing that his talent should be acknowledged despite his lineage. "I don't believe it diminishes my abilities," he stated. "I'm aware of the hard work I put in and the numerous rejections I've faced. But I also know that breaking into this industry is incredibly challenging, and I had a smoother ride than most. Both truths coexist. So, no, I don't think she was trying to say I'm not privileged. She knows it, and she must."
