Zazie Beetz is poised to take center stage in an upcoming feature film, a terrifying tale brought to life by the horror imprint jointly established earlier this year by Skydance and the esteemed filmmakers behind 'It,' Andy and Barbara Muschietti. New Line Cinema has gracefully stepped in to co-finance and distribute 'They Will Kill You,' a pulse-pounding thriller nurtured by Nocturna Pictures, the very same horror label crafted by Skydance and the Muschietti duo.

With a September start date looming in South Africa, 'They Will Kill You' promises to be a gripping journey into the unknown. At the helm is Kirill Sokolov, the visionary director behind the satirical action-comedy 'Why Don’t You Just Die!,' who has also penned the script alongside Alex Litvak (known for 'Predators'). This horror odyssey, drenched in Sokolov's signature dark humor, follows the harrowing tale of a woman, played by the captivating Zazie Beetz, who innocently responds to a help-wanted ad for a housekeeping position in a enigmatic New York City skyscraper, unaware that she's stepping into a realm where disappearances have become the norm over the years.

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, backed by the Muschiettis and Dan Kagan—a former Orion executive renowned for the horror smash 'Longlegs'—are leading the production charge under the Skydance banner. The executive producers' list boasts Russell Ackerman and John Schoenfelder, who oversee Nocturna, along with Sokolov, Litvak, and Carl Hampe, ensuring every aspect of this film exudes an unsettling allure.

'They Will Kill You' marks a reunion of sorts between New Line and the Muschiettis, whose two-part adaptation of Stephen King's 'It' shattered records, with the first installment becoming the highest-grossing horror film of all time and the second continuing the box office dominance. This collaboration further cements New Line's position as a haven for billion-dollar horror franchises, alongside the legendary Conjuring Universe.
