In the pulse-pounding trailer for Tubi's gritty Western, "The Thicket," the unlikely pairing of "Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis transforms into a lethal dance of violence and retribution. Dinklage portrays the cunning bounty hunter Reginald Jones, a grave-digging alcoholic whose lineage traces back to an ex-slave father and a street-wise prostitute mother. Lewis, on the other hand, embodies the ferocious gang leader Cutthroat Bill, a formidable opponent for Reginald.

As the trailer unfolds, Lewis's character taunts Dinklage's, mockingly remarking, "You're the littlest man I've ever seen." Reginald, no stranger to brutality, retaliates with a cutting remark, "You're the ugliest." This verbal sparring sets the tone for a clash of titans, as Reginald's path collides with Bill's after her gang abducts the sister of Jack, an innocent portrayed by Levon Hawke, the offspring of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.

In a quest to rescue Jack's sister, Reginald and Jack traverse a lawless territory known as The Big Thicket, a violent no man's land that serves as the backdrop for this epic showdown. The film, set in the turn-of-the-century Texas, boasts an ensemble cast that includes Esmé Creed-Miles, Macon Blair, Andrew Schulz, James Hetfield, David Midthunder, Arliss Howard, Leslie Grace, and Gbenga Akinnagbe.

The long-awaited adaptation of Joe R. Lansdale's novel "The Thicket" is directed by Elliott Lester, and penned by Chris Kelley. It was shot in Calgary, Alberta, and will be showcased at the Deauville Film Festival, making its domestic theatrical debut on September 6. Produced by Tubi Films, along with Dinklage and David Ginsberg of Estuary Films, the indie film boasts an impressive list of executive producers, including Blair Ward, Anders Erdén, Eric Harbert, Giovanna Trischitta, Nat McCormick, Danny Gusman, Robyn Norwood, and Adriana Lima.
