Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the tantalizing trailer for the highly anticipated gangster epic starring Robert De Niro, titled "Alto Knights," which was filmed in the vibrant Cincinnati region. Originally known as "Wise Guys," the film underwent a name change to "Alto Knights," promising a gripping tale of rivalry between two formidable Italian-American crime lords in the midst of the 20th century. This narrative fits De Niro like a glove, given his iconic status in the genre, immortalized in blockbusters such as "Goodfellas" and "The Godfather Part II."
In December 2022, parts of this cinematic masterpiece were captured in the picturesque Warren County, while the following two months witnessed further filming at Arnolds Bar & Grill, nestled in the heart of Downtown Cincinnati, adding an authentic local flavor to the production.
The star-studded cast also boasts Debra Messing, Kathrine Narducci, and Cosmo Jarvis, promising a powerhouse ensemble. Notably, the film marks a reunion for De Niro and director Barry Levinson, whose previous collaborations include the satirical comedy "Wag the Dog," the whimsical sci-fi "Sleeper," the acclaimed HBO series "The Wizard of Lies," and the behind-the-scenes drama "What Just Happened."
Together, they aim to recreate the glamour and danger of the gangster era, captivating audiences with every frame.
