Penned by the dynamic duo of Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (the minds behind "Night at the Museum"), with exquisite polishes by Keith Cooper ("Anything for Jackson") and Dyck himself, "The Casket Girls" is rooted in a haunting true tale – the enigmatic legacy of New Orleans' own Casket Girls.

These young women, shipped from France to New Orleans in the early 18th century as prospective brides for French colonists, arrived bearing luggage eerily resembling coffins. Coinciding with a surge in murders, they were maligned as demons or vampires, cast into the musty attic of the Ursuline Convent, a Vatican-monitored fortress that still stands sentinel today. It's a historical narrative tailor-made for horror, with the French Quarter's vampiric reputation serving as a macabre backdrop.

In "The Casket Girls," Gabrielle Union embodies the resilient Detective Shay Williams, who, alongside her trusty partner, finds themselves inextricably entombed within the hallowed halls of the Ursuline Convent alongside a group of unwitting tourists. Just as they thought safety was within reach, the Casket Girls emerge from their centuries-long confinement, unleashing a terror unlike any the world has seen in over 300 years.

Backed by QC Entertainment's Sean McKittrick and Raymond Mansfield, Union takes on an executive producer role alongside Edward H. Hamm Jr., ensuring the film's highest caliber. Filming commences in the charming locale of Victoria, British Columbia, in collaboration with Lighthouse Pictures, with Jameson Parker overseeing executive production duties for the latter. Atomic Honey and Kris and Kara Casting (Canada) are masterminding the US and Canadian casting, respectively, to bring this spine-tingling tale to life. The cameras roll on October 15th, promising a cinematic experience that will haunt viewers long after the credits roll.
