Jennifer Lopez emerged from her separation from Ben Affleck with invaluable insights, her resilience shining through every step. The multi-talented actress and singer, who first pledged her love to Affleck in the early 2000s before their initial heartbreak, rekindled their flame in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022. However, on August 20th, which also marked the second anniversary of their celebrated Georgian wedding, Lopez, now 55, filed for divorce.

In a candid conversation with comedian Nikki Glaser, featured in Interview magazine's latest edition, Lopez candidly shared her thoughts on the aftermath of her split with Affleck, 52. "I don't regret the pain for a moment," she declared, her voice laced with a newfound understanding. "It almost consumed me, but standing on the other side, I realize it was precisely what I needed. Thank you, God. I apologize for the delay and the repetition of lessons you had to teach me so harshly."

She added with a touch of humor, "I should've learned it sooner, but you had to hit me with a sledgehammer to drive the point home. The house came crashing down on me – no need to repeat the exercise." Yet, Lopez swiftly clarified, "And by the way, this doesn't mean I've unlocked all the secrets of life. Far from it."

This union with Affleck marked Lopez's fourth marriage, following her brief marriage to model-waiter Ojani Noa in 1997-1998, her divorce from dancer Cris Judd in 2002, and her separation from singer-songwriter Marc Anthony in 2014 after sharing twins Emme and Max, now 16.

Reflecting on the transformative year, Lopez told Glaser, "It's a continuous journey. I cherish life's impermanence; there's no final destination, only opportunities to grow and become better. It's a choice between thriving and stagnating, and I choose to thrive."

As for her romantic future, Lopez expressed a sense of liberation. "I'm thrilled at the prospect of being my own compass," she said, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "I'm not actively seeking anyone, because now, with decades of challenges behind me, I'm curious about what adventures await when I'm solely accountable to myself. What if freedom is the ultimate reward?"

Unstoppable, Lopez's upcoming film, promises to ignite theatres from December 6th onwards, mirroring her indomitable spirit both on and off the silver screen.
