In her lawsuit, Jabbari painted a picture of Majors engaging in a "persistent pattern of domestic violence that commenced in 2021 and persisted until 2023." One particular alleged incident, which transpired in September 2022, described Majors throwing her onto the hood of her car, dragging her into their residence, and subsequently "slamming her head against the marble floor while choking her until she feared she might lose consciousness," following a disagreement the previous day.

Following the incident, Jabbari claimed that Majors sent her a text, urging her to keep the ordeal a secret. Despite the physical agony she endured as a result of his aggression, Majors expressed concern for his career, as alleged in the lawsuit, fearing potential investigations into his conduct.

Jabbari filed her lawsuit after Majors was convicted of misdemeanor assault in the third degree for recklessly causing physical injury and harassment in the second degree last December. These charges stemmed from a supposed altercation between them in March 2023. However, Majors was acquitted of misdemeanor assault with intent to cause physical injury and misdemeanor aggravated harassment in the second degree in that particular case.

Furthermore, in her March lawsuit, Jabbari asserted that Majors defamed her "after his conviction but before sentencing" during an exclusive interview with ABC News. During this interview, Majors allegedly intensified his public attack on Jabbari, insisting that she had fabricated the entire narrative of abuse and maintaining that he had "never laid a hand on a woman."
