In the caption, she candidly reveals her resilience, acknowledging her return to work while expressing profound gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support. "It's been a trying few weeks, but the love and support from everyone have been overwhelming. I eagerly anticipate connecting with my fans in China and Brazil," Carey pens, ending with a heartfelt, "Love you! "

Earlier, on August 27th, PEOPLE magazine confirmed the devastating news of Patricia and Alison's simultaneous passing. The Grammy-award-winning singer, in a heart-wrenching statement, revealed the depth of her grief, sharing, "My heart shatters into pieces knowing I've lost my mother, and in an unimaginable twist, my sister too, on the same day." She further cherished the time spent with her mother in her final days, adding, "I am grateful for the moments I had with Mom before she left us. I am humbled by the love, support, and respect for my privacy during this unfathomable time."

David Baker, a patient advocate who was personally acquainted with Alison, shared a poignant insight into her life, stating that despite her struggles, "We saw it coming, yet it remains a profound shock. Her illness progressed swiftly, and within a month, she was gone."

Prior to their passing, Carey had been estranged from her sister and mother for years, a fact she candidly disclosed in her 2020 memoir, 'The Meaning of Mariah Carey.' In it, she poignantly reflected on the pain and confusion her relationship with her mother had caused, confessing, "For my own sanity and tranquility, my therapist urged me to reimagine and rename my family dynamics. My mother became 'Pat,' my brother an ex-brother, and my sister, an ex-sister. I had to let go of the fantasy that they would magically transform into the mother, brother, and sister I yearned for."

Carey's brother, Morgan, also expressed his sorrow and hope for their eternal peace, stating, "I pray for them, hoping they have finally found rest. We were once five, but now we are two."

Following a triumphant three-week residency in Las Vegas, Carey is poised to embark on a series of international performances, including two shows at the Workers' Stadium in Beijing from September 15th to 16th. Additionally, she will embark on her annual Christmas tour, titled 'Mariah Carey's Christmas Time,' which kicks off in Highland, California, on November 6th, culminating in a festive finale in Brooklyn, New York, on December 17th.
