Set against the backdrop of a glamorous country house party in 1925, "The Seven Dials Mystery" is a witty, epic, and pulse-racing drama that unfolds when a harmless prank turns into a shocking murder. It's up to the unlikely heroine, the vivaciously inquisitive Lady Eileen "Bundle" Brent (McKenna-Bruce), to solve a chilling mystery that will forever alter her life, peeling back the layers of a countryside conspiracy. Bonham Carter and Freeman will bring to life the characters of Lady Caterham and Superintendent Battle, respectively, adding depth and drama to this already captivating tale.

Penned masterfully by Chibnall, the eagerly awaited series boasts an impressive executive production team led by Suzanne Mackie, the executive producer of the highly esteemed "The Crown", under the banner of her own production house, Orchid Pictures, alongside Chris Sussman, renowned for his work on "Good Omens". Adding further depth and creativity to the project, Chris Sweeney, who has helmed notable projects such as "The Tourist" and "Back to Life", will direct the series while also serving as an executive producer.

Chibnall will oversee the executive production through his company, Imaginary Friends, and James Prichard of Agatha Christie Limited joins the team as another executive producer, ensuring the series stays true to the essence of Christie's iconic storytelling. Andy Stebbing rounds out the executive producer team, while Joanna Crow takes on the role of series producer, ensuring the smooth running of the production.

Scheduled to commence production this summer, "The Seven Dials Mystery" marks the first announced series from Orchid Pictures, a production company established by Mackie in 2020 under a partnership with Netflix, following a decade-long stint at Left Bank Pictures, where she was instrumental in the success of "The Crown".

In a statement, McKenna-Bruce expressed her excitement about being part of this new interpretation of Agatha Christie's timeless narratives, stating, "Chris Chibnall's scripts are brilliant, and I am thrilled to be bringing my talent to this remarkable project." McKenna-Bruce garnered critical acclaim for her lead role in Molly Manning Walker's debut feature "How to Have Sex," which captured the prestigious Un Certain Regard award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023 and was later released by Mubi, further solidifying her status as a rising star in the industry.
