In a heartfelt and transparent statement disseminated via TEMPEST's official channels, Yuehua Entertainment lamented the exhaustive efforts made to restore trust, ultimately concluding that the circumstances rendered it unfeasible for Hwarang to continue his participation in the group's endeavors. Thus, a difficult but necessary decision was reached to suspend Hwarang's involvement, transitioning the group to a six-member formation, excluding him, for the foreseeable future.

Acknowledging the potential for limited appearances of Hwarang in pre-recorded content and production duties, the agency extended its sincere apologies to the devoted fans for any inconvenience or emotional turmoil this sudden news may have caused.

Consequentially, Hwarang's resignation from his esteemed role as an MC on MBC's popular music show 'Show Champion', which he had gracefully occupied since February 21, KST, serves as a testament to the weight of this decision.

This turn of events stems from allegations surfaced during a recent video call fan signing session, where a fan claimed to have encountered Hwarang in a club setting. Swiftly addressing the controversy on TEMPEST's official account, the agency refuted the circulating narratives as unsubstantiated, emphasizing their falsity. In response, Hwarang displayed profound introspection, pledging never to repeat such actions, signifying a commitment to personal growth and redemption.

Born in 2001, Hwarang's temporary hiatus has elicited a myriad of reactions from fans, with some questioning the propriety of an apology for an adult's private leisure activities.

Meanwhile, TEMPEST, who graced the stage for the first time in March 2022, is poised to make a triumphant comeback with their fifth mini-album titled 'TEMPEST Voyage', scheduled for release on March 11, KST. This new chapter in their journey marks a reinvigorated spirit and unwavering dedication to their craft, amidst the ever-evolving landscape of K-pop.
