Woody Harrelson revealed an exciting tale on the "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend" podcast, recounting a motorcycle accident he suffered while heading to the studio to record an interview alongside his long-time friend and "Cheers" co-star, Ted Danson. The accident occurred when Harrelson collided with a Tesla, sending him flying over his handlebars and landing on the hood of the car. Fortunately, he was wearing a helmet, protecting him from any potential head injuries.

"It was quite a tumble, to say the least," Harrelson recounted on the podcast following the incident. "I definitely went over my handlebars. I was trying to pass this Tesla on the left, thinking it was moving a bit slow. Little did I know, the driver was actually turning left. I was on my motorcycle, and in L.A., I always think the motorcycle is the fastest way to get from point A to point B. Today, however, it proved to be quite the opposite."

Harrelson continued, "I always assumed I'd be okay. There was some pain involved, but I never imagined I could be killed or seriously injured. But I did sustain a wound on my wrist." It was then that Danson, who had once played a doctor on the soap opera "The Doctors," came to his aid. Danson cleaned and bandaged Harrelson's wound, much to the latter's relief.

"We were in the bathroom, and I said to him, 'You played a doctor, right?' And Ted joked, 'Well, I also played a lawyer, so we can sue the guy!'" Harrelson recalled with a laugh.

The friends' lighthearted approach to the situation notwithstanding, Danson's professional demeanor and confidence assured Harrelson that he was in good hands. "His confidence, his demeanor, everything about the way he handled it made me feel like I was in the best possible care. I never doubted him," Harrelson added.

The accident, however, did result in a delayed start to their interview, adding a bit of drama to an otherwise casual afternoon.

"I feel deeply saddened," Danson confessed, his voice tinged with emotion. "The thought of him potentially suffering serious harm weighs heavily on my heart. It truly brings me down."

During the interview with O'Brien, Harrelson and Danson were promoting their latest endeavor, a captivating new podcast titled "Where Everybody Knows Your Name with Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson (Sometimes)," which debuted on June 12.
