Asura – Season 1 Episode 5 1

As Katsumata attempts to forge a closer bond with Takiko while she assists him in setting up his new quarters, an unexpected turn of events sees him receiving a blow to the head with a hammer. Just then, Sakiko arrives, coinciding with the sushi delivery she had ordered. Takiko finds fault in everything, even Sakiko's reference to Katsumata as her brother, ultimately leading to Sakiko's ejection from the house. With the sushi in hand, Sakiko heads to Makiko's place, where Yoko and Hiroo eagerly await their culinary delight, while Makiko and Sakiko engage in girl talk. Sakiko attributes Takiko's behavior to sexual frustration, claiming she can discern a woman's satisfaction with just a glance. When Makiko inquiries about her own situation, Sakiko diplomatically avoids answering, fearing she might upset both sisters in a single day.

Elsewhere, Tsunako's son, Masaki, visits with his girlfriend, Satoko. Tsunako's discomfort is palpable, her lack of enthusiasm evident both towards the visitor and his girlfriend. Returning to Kotaro's house, Katsumata grapples with the awkwardness of cohabiting with Kotaro, and Takiko's aloofness exacerbates the situation. During dinner, Katsumata's anxiety reaches a crescendo, causing him to choke on noodles. Kotaro's attempt to give Takiko and Katsumata some private time only intensifies Takiko's discomfort. That night, Takiko opts to sleep in her father's room, leaving Katsumata to rest alone in his newly assigned quarters.

Meanwhile, Makiko places a call to the hospital for an update on Takao's medical tests. Upon learning that Takao is hospitalized, she hastily makes her way there. Entering Takao's room, she discovers Akagi attending to him. Despite finding Akagi's presence disagreeable, Makiko maintains composure and attempts conversation. Both women share the same jacket, a gift from Takao to Makiko, which Akagi dismisses as a performance bonus from her company. After Akagi's departure, Takao reveals to Makiko that Akagi has a boyfriend.

Tomoko's son dials Kotaro's home phone, eager to converse with his friend, but it's Katsumata who picks up. Katsumata informs the boy that he might have dialed the wrong number and promptly hangs up. Undeterred, the boy dials again later, and this time, Kotaro answers the call. The boy expresses his longing for Kotaro and his desire to meet him, but Kotaro feels it's inadvisable. Katsumata, aware of the boy's calls, is burdened with guilt and confesses to Kotaro. He unravels the tale of the investigation into his affair, revealing how he met Takiko. Kotaro finds his confession amusing and his vow to never betray Takiko hilarious, responding with mere laughter.

Meanwhile, Makiko attempts to distract herself by nudging Tsunako towards marriage. Ironically, it's Takiko who ends up getting engaged. Takiko visits Makiko to discuss excluding Sakiko from their wedding. She believes that Sakiko's penchant for flaunting her wealth might undermine Katsumata's confidence. Makiko and Takao argue vehemently that no sibling should be excluded, fearing that Sakiko and Jinnai might harbor resentment for life. Katsumata echoes this sentiment, unwilling to let Takiko exclude her sister for his sake. He acknowledges his humanity and potential jealousy but insists that it doesn't justify snubbing Sakiko.

On the wedding day, Sakiko and Jinnai disregard the dress code, opting for flashy attire that sends their fans into a frenzy. Their arrival steals the thunder from Takiko's special day, earning the sisters' displeasure. They pull Sakiko aside, and she reveals that Jinnai defied her instructions to wear a dark suit, choosing instead a bright one. Jinnai loses his footing while conversing with Katsumata, spilling his drink and staining his clothes. Takiko, believing they are creating a scene, orders them to leave. However, Kotaro intervenes, ensuring Sakiko stays.

As the wedding ceremony commences, everyone heads into the church, leaving Jinnai outside to sign autographs. While Takiko and Katsumata exchange vows, an attendant whispers something to Sakiko, prompting her to rush outside, visibly concerned.
