Yet, the chase for Udai proves to be a labyrinthine path fraught with more enigmas than answers. In a grimy alley, Udai's life ebbs away amidst a crimson pool, punctured by bullets from an elusive assailant.

In the present tense, Jet's sights are set anew on a fresh target: a prison transport ship that has crash-landed on Europa, its cargo including the very man he seeks – Udai Taxim. Yet, Jet embarks on this mission solo, entrusting Faye and Spike with the task of teaming up and hunting down another bounty hunter of their choosing amidst a frenzied race against time, as prey is swiftly claimed by rival hunters.

Jet's journey leads him back to Fad, and the reunion echoes with the familiarity of bygone days, their banter sharp as ever. Jet's obsession with proving Chalmers' guilt remains unwavering, his shattered reputation a constant reminder of Chalmers' presence at his arrest, an event that shattered his standing.

Their investigative trail leads them to Dagmar, who, with a flick of her tongue, divulges that Udai's imminent transfer is mere hours away. Jet, armed with Fad's cunning persuasion, zeroes in on Udai's proximity. Together, they descend to the docks, probing shipping containers like detectives in a labyrinthine search for Udai's hiding spot.

As Jet closes the gap on Udai, he halts abruptly, confronting the fiend with a question that has haunted him: who was the triggerman that fateful night? The revelation is a stunning reversal – it was Fad who had betrayed him, as a bullet finds its mark in Udai's neck, unmasking the true culprit in a tale fraught with deceit and betrayal.

Fad, weighed down by the crushing burden of debt, found himself in a desperate predicament. The Syndicate offered him a lifeline—to safeguard their interests, which meant betraying Jet. Jet's world crumbled at the hands of Fad's avarice, and as the harsh reality dawned, he lashed out in fury, ending the life of his once-trusted companion.

Amidst this turmoil, Chalmers emerged like a shadow from the past, revealing a years-long quest to unmask Udai's secrets. With Udai silenced forever, Jet stood alone, his name tarnished beyond redemption. Yet, Chalmers, in a rare display of compassion, chose to shield Jet, weaving a tale of mutual demise, enabling Jet's escape before the law closed in.

Elsewhere, Faye and Spike's conversation danced around the edges of their violent past, their marks—both the lives they'd taken and the scars they bore—a testament to their shared experiences. Their banter was laced with a camaraderie that belied the gravity of their lives. Faye's revelation of taking down the notorious Dupree sent shockwaves through Spike, who listened intently, his admiration for her undeniable.

As for Vicious, he embarked on a perilous path, seeking Mao's counsel. His ambition to eradicate the Elders, with Santiago, Mao, and himself ascending to power, was a grandiose plan. To sweeten the deal, he offered the Ganymede Territories and a hefty portion of his fortune. But Mao's stipulation—Julia's song as a price—proved a bitter pill for Vicious to swallow.

Just as he turned to leave, Julia's voice, unbidden, filled the air, her notes ringing with defiance. Vicious's fury boiled over, but Julia stood her ground, claiming her act as an act of loyalty. However, as the echoes of her song faded, Julia's thoughts turned to Vicious's words, and a shocking realization dawned: Spike still lived. The stage was set for a new chapter, fraught with danger and unexpected turns.
