Episode 7 of Heartbreak High's second season kicks off with Amerie and Harper stealthily making their way to the chemist to procure abortion pills, hearts pounding. Just as they’re about to exit, Amerie’s mom narrowly misses crossing their path, prompting a swift and nervous retreat. Later, Amerie ventures to see Malakai, only to be met with a cold shoulder. He’s engrossed in packing, dismissively brushing her aside with a curt declaration that he’s had enough of her dramas. The door slams shut before she can utter another word.
Deflated, Amerie retreats to Harper’s, where she resolutely swallows the first pill, convincing herself she’ll be fine and ready to rock the Captain campaign the following day. She messages Rowan to cancel their date, but her message sits unopened, likely interpreted as yet another brush-off due to his understandable frustration. Desperate to clarify her intentions, Amerie sends him some explicit photos.
Elsewhere, Missy and Spider’s relationship blossoms, with him proving his commitment through charitable donations and earnest efforts to change. Yet, while he harbors deep feelings for Missy, she remains hesitant.
Darren and Ca$h patch things up, more out of a mutual sense of being even than genuine reconciliation. Their bonding over a couple of days with Dusky doesn’t quite erase the underlying tensions. Ca$h swears to Harper that he’s cut ties with Chook, even invoking his grandmother’s name as a solemn oath. Darren returns home acting oddly, still simmering with anger, leaving Ca$h anxious and puzzled. Darren fibs about spending time at his mom’s, but the truth is plain: he was with Dusky.
The next day, Amerie insists she’s fit as a fiddle and prepared for the debate. She tells Rowan she was under the weather, suggesting they reschedule their date. Rowan hides his anger well, but it’s clearly simmering beneath the surface.
Meanwhile, Spider catches Jojo off guard by seeking her advice on how to turn over a new leaf. She encourages him with the caveat that real change requires tangible actions. He confides in Sasha about contemplating dropping out of the race, prompting her realization that Spider and Missy are an item. Stunned, Sasha urges Missy to see sense, reminding her that Spider’s flaws are well-documented, which is why they kept their relationship hush-hush.
This conversation sparks a heated altercation between Missy and Spider. When he announces his intent to withdraw from the race for her, Missy savagely wounds his pride by accusing him of faking change. She declares she doesn’t want to be with him and breaks up with him, leaving Spider devastated and unable to take it in stride.
Across the school grounds, Darren confesses to Ca$h about his whereabouts over the past two days, emphasizing that neither of them had intimate relations with Dusky. However, Ca$h remains skeptical. He confronts Dusky, inquiring about his time spent with Darren, who assured him nothing untoward occurred. Dusky reveals that Darren is grappling with abstinence, leaving Ca$h concerned about his own selfishness—unable to provide Darren with what he desires, fostering a sense of insecurity within their relationship.
As preparations for the school debate intensify, Amerie suddenly experiences excruciating cramps. Malakai discovers her doubled over in pain by the school gates, realizing she's undergoing an abortion. She urgently asks him to fetch Harper, and the trio promptly exits the school premises, heading towards Harper’s home. Harper promptly contacts a nurse, who advises Amerie to ingest the second pill and await the process’s conclusion.
Back at school, Spider loses his composure during his debate speech, sparking an argument with Sasha over gender dynamics. With Amerie absent, Darren and Jojo implore Quinni to fill in as her vice. Instead of advocating for Amerie, Quinni mocks the incompetence of all candidates, daring students to cast their votes for inanimate objects.
At Harper’s residence, Amerie confides in Malakai that the baby is his. Malakai, stunned and contrite for neglecting her the previous night—mistakenly believing she wanted to discuss Rowan—alongside Harper, supports Amerie through her ordeal. After the harrowing experience, they relax on the couch, watching a movie. Malakai expresses his approval of Amerie and Rowan's relationship, much to Rowan’s silent dismay as he watches Malakai depart from the shadows. Frustrated by Amerie’s silence, Rowan believes she has reconciled with Malakai.
The next day, Woodsy announces Quinni’s victory in the election, which infuriates Voss, prompting him to throw a cake at her, igniting a food fight. Amidst the chaos, Amerie clarifies things with Rowan, affirming her desire to be with him and explaining that Harper and Malakai were assisting her with a personal matter. This soothes Rowan, who discards a poster he had crafted featuring Amerie’s nude images, branding her a slut. Sasha later stumbles upon these posters in the trash.
Following the food fight, Woodsy terminates Voss’s employment, sparking his outburst against her and Jojo, accusing the SLTS class of turning girls into misogynists. Meanwhile, Ca$h returns to school and terminates his relationship with Darren, citing his selfishness in expecting Darren to abstain. Despite Darren's pleas, Ca$h remains resolute. Heartbroken, Darren joins Zoe’s club to learn how to curb his sexual desires.
Later, Amerie and Quinni are summoned to the principal’s office to resolve the election controversy. Amerie concedes, and Quinni is crowned the new Captain. While Quinni exudes excitement, Amerie attempts to feign happiness for her friend. However, Quinni senses the lack of sincerity in her congratulations. In a burst of honesty, Amerie reveals she missed the debate due to her abortion, leaving Quinni utterly stunned.
The episode concludes with Rowan physically threatening Malakai, warning him to stay away from Amerie.
