Episode 4 of "Inventing Anna" opens with a glimpse into Anna's past as she purchases a building to house her Anna Delvey Foundation. Her vision is grandiose, envisioning it as an elite enclave for the world's elite, a place where only the best are welcomed. She delves into the details of three lavish restaurants, luxurious hotel rooms, and even secluded private chambers. The lease alone costs a staggering $4 million per year, but Anna estimates a whopping $40 million is needed to bring this vision to life.

Anna's dream team is assembled and raring to go, but funding remains a challenge. She heads to meet Alan Reed, a potential investor. In his office, Anna pitches her Foundation as an exclusive club, promising to exceed her guests' expectations. However, Alan is quick to point out the volatile market conditions, her lack of professional experience, and her lack of substantial capital. He rejects her proposal.

When Anna confides in Vivian about her rejection, she attributes it to her gender, though this is merely a ruse to captivate Vivian's attention. As Anna continues her search, Vivian learns of Anna's convincing tactics. Anna transforms her appearance, donning a suit jacket and glasses, and even leverages Alan's daughter in a subtle threat to gain his attention.

This audacious strategy paves the way for Anna to gain access, particularly through Peter Henneke, a German individual in charge of Anna's trust fund. To solidify the deal, Anna invites Alan to witness the operations of the ADF and meet its influential members firsthand. This is all a calculated ploy to convince Alan of her legitimacy.

In the morning, Peter agrees to release Anna's trust funds, confirming a substantial amount of approximately 65 million dollars. Overly confident, Alan signs the paperwork, verifying Anna's financial capabilities. It's a hasty and uninformed decision that ultimately comes back to haunt him. The irony lies in the fact that, despite Alan's services being valued at an astonishing $2000 per hour, he somehow managed to devote over 200 hours to Anna without receiving a single penny in compensation—or even a retainer agreement. Even Todd remains unpaid by Anna's elusive grasp.

As Anna's records start trickling in, Vivian braces herself for work, only to be overwhelmed by her team's revelation. They've uncovered Anna's audacious plan: she chartered a $35,000 private jet to Omaha, not paying for it, but stealing it, all to attend Warren Buffett's conference. She pulled off this feat by texting a man named Ron, the CEO himself, convincing him with her charm and apparent credibility that she was good for the money.

Even more shockingly, Anna managed to manipulate Alan, convincing him to join her board of directors, essentially forcing his hand in her financial schemes. And Alan, all too eagerly, facilitated her loan of $200,000.

As Vivian and her team delve deeper, they uncover a startling truth: Peter Hennecke was merely Anna, her voice distorted, using a virtual SIM card to masquerade as a German. This elaborate fraud puts Alan in a precarious position, yet somehow, he manages to turn it into a promotion.

Watching a broadcast of Donald Trump, Vivian can't help but lament the lack of consequences for these men, as if the world is turning a blind eye to their misdeeds.
