However, a ripple of disruption rippled through the tranquility when Ronny's call to Sofie shattered the air, revealing that the publishing house was on the auction block. His words were cryptic, leaving her intrigued as she stood poised in the elevator's confines, only to be joined by Max, whose mischievous antics with Sofie escalated, tasking him with a CEO's roleplay for the day. From afar, he slipped seamlessly into Ronny's office, embodying the part with ease.

Elsewhere, Friedrich's world tilted on its axis as he drew Caroline into a confidential huddle, eager to delve into the intricacies of their cinematic creation. Her recounting of the plot twists unfurled like a tapestry, but as she reached the climax, Friedrich's jaw slackened in disbelief. The revelation that the ending had been tampered with, distorting history's tapestry, sent shockwaves through him.

Amidst this fiery confrontation, Max's timely intervention, admonishing Friedrich for his outburst in the hallowed halls of work, provided a comical interlude, perhaps the series' finest jest thus far. Yet, the laughter was short-lived as Friedrich's heart sank, realizing the contract—a pact with history's distortion—had already been etched in stone.

Friedrich, in a desperate final attempt, endeavors to alter the film's climax by personally confronting StreamUs. Alas, his efforts are futile; the contract is already sealed, and there's no turning back the tide.

Back at the office, Max cunningly lures Sofie into his makeshift sanctuary, Ronny's former domain, with the guise of an employee questionnaire. The air thickens with unspoken intentions as he leans in, all but consummating a kiss. Swiftly, Sofie escapes, retreating to her own office, her breath ragged with the near-miss.

Meanwhile, the hubbub of the office is disrupted by the arrival of a blonde woman, manuscript in hand. Amidst the chaos, she becomes a fleeting afterthought.

In the solitude of her abode, Sofie awaits Johan, adorned in lingerie that whispers promises of a romantic evening. But as night deepens, Max's message intrudes on her plans, a playful challenge to dress as Cyndi Lauper the following day—a nod to the last artist's tune that danced on her Spotify ears.

Obediently, Sofie transforms, ready to face the day's meeting about Gertrud's tome. However, fate intervenes with a message from her father, who finds himself at the forefront of a protest. Sofie's heart softens, and she joins him, coaxing the elder man to seek refuge in her apartment over a comforting cup of coffee.

As the hours blend into one, coffee gives way to sponge cake and the shared joy of reading. With the film's premiere looming and time slipping by like grains of sand, Sofie arrives at the event solo, her father opting for the comfort of home and slumber.

At the grand affair, Sofie discovers Gertrud remains in the dark about the film's impending conclusion. As the screening commences, Friedrich's anxiety is palpable, his sudden need for fresh air a calculated move to shield Gertrud from the inevitable.

Back at the office, Sofie reunites with her colleagues, who are stunned to learn that Lund's new owners are none other than StreamUs. With resignation, they sign the necessary papers as Sofie braces herself for the impending storm.
