The following day, they resume their professional facades at work, their love hidden beneath layers of stoicism. When Jeong-hun seeks Ji-yun out to apologize for his father's conduct, she confesses the truth: she and Eun-ho are in a relationship.
Elsewhere, Peoplez is presented with an enticing prospect—a prestigious company in search of a new CEO. However, to demonstrate their commitment, they pit Peoplez against Career Way in a fierce competition.
Jeong-hun confronts his father about his mistreatment of Ji-yun, and subsequently invites Eun-ho for a drink. The evening takes a peculiar turn as they engage in an arm wrestling match, with Eun-ho deliberately allowing Jeong-hun to emerge victorious. In a state of heavy intoxication, Jeong-hun is escorted by Eun-ho to his residence, where they unexpectedly encounter Su-hyeon. Amidst the confusion, Jeong-hun finds himself spending the night on Su-hyeon's couch, waking up the next morning mortified but greeted with a comforting hangover soup by Su-hyeon's mother. During this awkward encounter, Jeong-hun finally uncovers the unspoken truth: Eun-ho is the object of Su-hyeon's unrequited affections.
In the office setting, the team collectively decided to pursue a candidate possessing a legal background, aligning perfectly with the hiring company's aspirations to project a financially sound image and address its pressing business dilemmas. Separately, Ji-yun's encounter with an attractive client stirred a wave of jealousy in Eun-ho. Seeking solace, he headed to his friend's bookstore after the workday concluded. To his surprise, Ji-yun arrived shortly after, having ditched her lunch appointment with the client, and teased Eun-ho mercilessly about his envy.
Meanwhile, it transpired that the director of the hiring company had ties to Jeong-hun's father. The latter encouraged the director to choose the headhunting firm that presented the superior candidate. However, the following day, Hye-jin met with the director, subtly hinting at her connection to Jeong-hun's father and attempting to sway the decision in her favor.
