Episode 8 of Mirzapur Season 3, titled "Raja Beta," opens with the cops stumbling upon the tragic sight of a young girl's lifeless body. In the meantime, Chotte returns home, sporting a fresh wound on his hand. Saloni examines the injury with tender care and affectionately attends to it. As she bandages the wound, she confesses to Chotte, whom she assumes is Bharat, how deeply he matters to her. Their connection grows stronger, leading to an intimate moment.
The following morning, Parshuram and Guddu arrive to inspect the body, which is mistakenly believed to be Golu's. However, upon realizing it is indeed Golu, Parshuram's world shatters, and in a moment of despair, he shoots himself in the chin. Guddu, unable to bear the shock, loses his composure.
Inside the prison walls, Ramakant encounters Raheem and learns the truth behind the killing of Lala. Raheem reveals that he was offered money to eliminate Lala, a deal that would ensure his family's well-being while he served his sentence. He confesses that he believed accepting the offer was the right choice for his loved ones.
Back at the Tripathi residence, Guddu seeks solace in opium, consuming more than usual to numb the pain of Golu's death. He returns home but hesitates to enter, witnessing his mother and Dimpy's joy around Robin.
At the Shukla Manor, Kaleen warns Sharad that the Tyagi family is trying to shift the blame for Golu's death onto him. Sharad declares that he will accept the accusation and confront Guddu, regardless of the consequences. Later, Sharad meets Madhuri and shares that Guddu is on the verge of self-destruction, having lost all he held dear. He vows to help her achieve her dream of a crime-free Uttar Pradesh.
Madhuri resolves to prioritize removing Beena from the Tripathi household. Guddu, in a state of despair, encounters Ramakant in prison and seeks guidance. Ramakant admits that he has no easy solutions for Guddu's plight and encourages him to face each challenge bravely to survive. IG Dubey, reinstated in his position, makes an attempt to meet with Guddu.
Meanwhile, Guddu unleashed his henchmen on Jaunpur, issuing a 'shoot-on-sight' command for anyone linked to the Shukla family. IG Dubey encountered Guddu and coerced him into a phone conversation with Madhuri. Madhuri boldly demanded the release of Beena and her son as a condition for sparing Guddu's father. She argued that only the safety of Beena and her son was preventing her from exacting revenge. However, Guddu defied her offer and bid her to do as she pleased.
At the Pandit abode, Dimpy broke the news to Robin and Vasudha that the judge presiding over Ramakant's case had been transferred, and the hearing had been moved up, making their efforts to secure his freedom all the more challenging. Back at the Tripathi house, Guddu confessed to Beena that her freedom outweighed his father's, leaving her deeply moved.
Devdutt and Chotte's business squabble continued, with Geeta urging the father-son duo to resolve their differences. Amidst the tension, Chotte insisted on dropping Ginni to school. Later, Chotte sneaked into the hiding place where he had concealed Golu, and surprisingly, she was still alive. Suspecting Chotte's (whom she believed to be Bharat) motives, Saloni trailed him and discovered that Chotte was indeed hiding Golu. The revelation shocked Golu, who confessed to Saloni that she had mistakenly identified her brother-in-law as her husband. Distressed, Saloni attempted to flee, but Chotte pushed her inside the room and imprisoned her with Golu.
Concurrently, the hearing for Ramakant's case commenced, with Guddu's unexpected appearance causing a stir among all present.
As the judge perused the evidence in the case, the verdict was imminent, sentencing Ramakant to the ultimate punishment of death by hanging. Just then, Robin rose to his feet, his voice resonating through the hushed courtroom. He declared that the prosecution's case was baseless, revealing his knowledge of SSP Maurya and Ramakant's illicit scheme to pin Guddu's crimes on him. Furthermore, he disclosed that he had gathered incriminating evidence against Guddu and entrusted it to Ramakant.
Robin's revelation sent shockwaves through the courtroom, prompting the judge to order a thorough reinvestigation of the case. Ramakant was enraged with Robin for redirecting the blame towards Guddu. PA Anand confided in Madhuri that their plan had failed, as Ramakant remained alive, and Guddu had managed to slip away.
That night, Dimpy was furious with Robin, accusing him of concealing the truth about Guddu's involvement in her father's arrest. Robin apologized sincerely, explaining that he had only acted to protect her, considering her as a member of his own family.
From the shadows, Guddu watched Dimpy and Vasudha embrace Robin, feeling a sense of exclusion and betrayal. Unable to contain his anger, he lunged towards Robin, his thumbs gouging out the young man's eyes in a ferocious attack. The gruesome incident claimed Robin's life, leaving Dimpy and Vasudha stunned and horrified. The episode concluded with Guddu, his senses returning, gazing at Robin's lifeless body, splattered with blood, his face a mask of shock and remorse.
