Elsewhere, Fabiola and Aneesa discuss the lack of female interest in joining the Robotics team. Aneesa reveals that the team's toxic masculinity and the presence of incel-like behavior drove all the female students away. Meanwhile, Devi seeks guidance from her college advisor, Professor Warner, about applying early to Princeton.

Professor Warner informs Devi that she won't be receiving a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from Dr. Keyes due to the accident that led to her hospitalization. Additionally, he mentions a school trip to New York to apply to colleges in the tri-state area. Devi vows to secure her spot on the trip but then realizes she needs to repair her car with her own funds.

During a school break, Devi visits the repair shop where the mechanic quotes her a staggering $1,100 for the paint job. Shocked by the price, Devi attempts to negotiate but the mechanic insists that there's no room for a discount. Meanwhile, at the Vishwakumar residence, Kamala returns home early from work to find Paati (Devi's grandmother) on a date with Len.

Kamala expresses support for Paati's relationship with Len, acknowledging that she deserves to move on after being widowed for 20 years. However, she still harbors resentment towards Paati for forcing her to stay away from Manish. Despite this, Kamala promises to keep Paati's secret from Nalini, as pleaded by the elderly woman.

Back at school, Devi confides in Fabiola and Eleanor that she can't afford to go to New York due to the expensive car repair. She blames Margot for ruining her plans but Eleanor is oblivious to her friend's distress, engrossed in her infatuation with Ethan.

Eleanor confidently shares with her friends her decision to move past Trent, revealing that her heart now harbors a burgeoning affection for Ethan. Devi, in a candid conversation with Ben, vents her frustration over Margot's vandalism of her car and urges Ben to stand by her side as a true friend should. As Devi heads to class, she catches a snippet of Professor Nuni's conversation, realizing that Margot had deceived about her whereabouts the previous day. Without hesitation, Devi informs Principal Grubbs of Margot's false alibi.

Elsewhere, Ben confronts Margot about the incident, leaving her astonishment as she hadn't anticipated Ben's lack of trust. In their Spanish class, Professor Nuni tasks Ethan with writing on the blackboard, prompting Devi to make a startling discovery: Ethan's handwriting mirrored that of the vandal. Confronting him, Devi learns that Ethan mistakenly believed the car belonged to a teacher he harbored resentment against.

Margot is unexpectedly summoned to Principal Grubbs' office, where she confronts the grim repercussions of her deceitful actions and vandalism, culminating in her suspension from school. Just as despair begins to envelop her, Devi storms in, dramatically shifting the dynamics by steadfastly championing Margot's innocence. This abrupt intervention sparks Principal Grubbs' ire, who reprimands Devi for her perpetual disruption and accuses her of squandering his valuable time. In an unexpected twist, Grubbs finds himself compelled to apologize to Margot.

However, Margot and Ben are equally upset with Devi. Fabiola visits the science team, engaging the female members, including Michelle, who shares her experiences of being mistreated by the boys in the Robotics Team. Fabiola extends a heartfelt apology and vows to change the toxic culture within the team. Devi encounters Ben at the lockers and expresses her regret for the misunderstanding, but Ben reveals Margot's request for him to cease communication with Devi, hinting at a break in their friendship.

Devi's anger towards Ethan escalates, confronting him about the vandalism amidst her friends. She loudly reprimands him, demanding he rectify his mistake by cleaning her car. On her way out, Devi bumps into Paxton, who is at school for an interview. Meanwhile, Fabiola confronts Eric over the Robotics Team's negative reputation, calling out his gatekeeping behavior that excludes female students. Michelle, delighted by Fabiola's advocacy for STEM women, agrees to join the Robotics Team.

Later, Patti reveals to Nalini and Devi that she is in a relationship, which they accept with the same openness as Kamala. Ethan sends Devi a message, revealing he's outside her house to clean her car. Devi is astounded to learn that a mechanic tried to scam her for a job that Ethan completed for just $13. Ethan admits he's drawn to Devi because of her fiery spirit. As the episode concludes, Devi acknowledges her burgeoning feelings for Ethan, despite knowing Eleanor's affection for him.
