The intensity of the battle necessitated both Higan and Zai unleashing their clandestine techniques.

Ninja Kamui – Season 1 Episode 12 1

When Higan inquiries why the medic risked breaking the cardinal rule to aid him, the medic unfolds a tale of deep-seated discord within the ninja clan. For centuries, these ninjas have stood as the protectors of Japan. Yet, as the modern era dawned, Japan began to turn its back on the age-old ninja traditions. Instead, it embarked on hiring private armies armed with contemporary weaponry. The clan's leader was steadfast in preserving the authentic ninja ideologies, but this became an uphill struggle. Ultimately, Yamazi seized power, murdered the original leader, and enforced stringent regulations.

Among these rigid rules was a stipulation that anyone leaving the clan or forming attachments with outsiders faced the ultimate penalty: death. Dilly aids Joseph in his escape and subsequently launches an assault on her own master, Yamazi. It's worth noting that Dilly was dispatched by Yamazi to serve as Joseph's bodyguard, and she's determined to fulfill her duty, even if it entails clashing with her master. Cognizant of her own limitations, Dilly acknowledges she's not powerful enough to vanquish Yamazi, but she figures she can at least gain some precious time.

Yamazi, feeling bored, unveils his own Gusuko gear, which, in stark contrast to other models, is flawless and endlessly powered. The battle resumes, with Yamazi effortlessly overpowering Dilly, treating the fight as mere amusement.

Mike finds himself in the clutches of the law, and when grilled about his underlying motives, he confesses his desire to see Joseph Evans, the helmsman of Auza Industries, confined within the cold bars of a prison cell. However, Mike's supervisor dishes out a dose of realism, asserting that such an outcome isn't forthcoming anytime soon, and even if it were, their influence with the FBI isn't sufficient to warrant a comprehensive probe. The boss urges Mike to abandon this seemingly futile endeavor.

But fate has other plans. It transpires that someone, presumably Jason, has spilled the beans to the press, unveiling a treasure trove of data on Auza, including the shocking revelation of how the company harnessed a ninja clan for sinister assassinations. This leak also encompasses a roster of accomplices on Auza's payroll, albeit with their names obscured. These redacted names belong to high-ranking FBI officials, and the leak holds them over a barrel—if they don't initiate an investigation, their identities will be exposed to the world. Consequently, a warrant for Joseph's arrest is swiftly issued.

Upon learning of the leak, Joseph is thrown into a tizzy of panic. He vows to exact revenge and threatens to overload all Auza reactors, a move that could unleash devastation upon the globe. Mike, however, smells a rat. He suspects that Joseph's threat is merely a smokescreen to cover his escape from the country.

Amidst this turmoil, Yamazi pulls the trigger on the final phase of his nefarious plot to dominate the world. He abducts the heads of state from every nation, boldly declaring it as the inaugural step towards a new epoch where ninjas reign supreme.
