Confronted by Autumn, Royal reveals that he shattered the necklace and found nothing of value within. Autumn, however, remains unconvinced. She argues that the same mineral that lies dormant in her necklace is also present on Royal's land, tied inextricably to the hole and to her. She presses on, urging Royal to reveal the truth of his time-traveling exploits to his family. She begs him to embrace the wonders that await, but Royal insists she stay away and departs, leaving behind a trail of smoke as he burns Autumn's tent.

Meanwhile, Joy resolutely marches towards Kirkland Miller, determined to arrest Rhett and Perry. Her narrative, though close to the truth, differs only in the coroner's estimation of the time of death, which Joy firmly believes is erroneous. Unmoved, Kirkland reminds her of his impending election and refuses to consider her evidence, slamming the door in her face.

Undeterred, Joy turns to the church, hoping to gain favor in her bid for power. Her family, however, is not entirely supportive of her ambitions. Autumn, meanwhile, wanders aimlessly through the woods, stumbling upon a bear. She lies down, still as a stone, and whispers, "Yellow." A voice whispers back, "Show him," seemingly a cryptic reference to Royal and the mysterious events surrounding Autumn, who clearly knows more than she's letting on.

Elsewhere, Rhett and Maria find themselves waking up in a motel after a night of passion. As their story continues, Rhett appears at Maria's door, armed with flowers plucked from her own garden. He informs her that he plans to leave the ranch after the rodeo, but Maria is insistent on the truth about Perry. "You're covering for him, aren't you?" she probes. Rhett hesitates, his silence speaking volumes. Maria scoffs at his feeble lie and shuts the door, leaving him with a stern warning to be honest next time.

At the Tillerson Ranch, Luke discovers that upon Wayne's demise, all his possessions are destined to fall into Billy's hands. Patricia, displeased with this arrangement, resolves to alter the fate, considering the Will as malleable. As the brothers embark on a hunting trip on the vast ranch, Autumn hastily catches up with Billy, eager to reveal a revelation. Guiding him, she leads him straight to the ominous hole. With newfound knowledge, Billy hastily makes his way home. "You were indeed correct about the western pasture, Father," he murmurs, swiftly snatching the beloved rock from Wayne's palm and swiftly disappearing.

Upon returning, Autumn is horrified to find her tent and belongings reduced to ashes. In a fit of rage, she grabs a knife and etches the familiar insignia onto her chest. Later, she sits in contemplation, encountering Perry. Her demeanor erratic, she accuses Royal of attempting to murder her. She cunningly uses Rebecca as a pawn, persuading Perry to approach the authorities and implicate Royal in Trevor's murder.

Perry resolutely refused to involve the authorities, insisting on handling the situation himself. "A fresh start awaits!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. What did this cryptic remark truly mean? Could she be a time traveler, perhaps from a distant future? Surely, the answer would soon unfold.

Meanwhile, Cecilia remained steadfast in the cabin, surrounded by the lifeless bear. Royal's unexpected appearance startled her, but she merely informed him of her desire for solitude. He reminisced about their shared moments, confessing that he would be lost without her companionship. Despite his heartfelt words, she insisted he leave her to her thoughts. Royal respected her wishes and rode away, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

As the night drew in, Perry returned home, confirming to his family that he had confessed to everything. He had left a confession letter for the sheriff, taking the blame for Trevor's untimely death. Now, with the truth out in the open, no one could predict what would transpire next.

Rhett was enraged, having sacrificed Maria for this cause. His anger escalated when he mentioned that Perry was the reason Amy had lost her mother. Amy, shocked by the revelation, fled the room, her hand bleeding, whimpering all the while. As she disappeared, the horizon lit up with the red and blue lights of approaching police cars. They had arrived, and it was clear that their intention was to arrest Perry.
