Episode 3 of Secret Level dives us straight into the heart of Amazon's MMO, New World, as our protagonists ready themselves to voyage to an island dominated by a towering volcano. However, fate had other plans, as a crackle of lightning sent their ship to the depths, leaving King Aelstrom as the sole survivor. On this mysterious island, a woman swiftly dispatched both Aelstrom and his faithful assistant, Scaevola, yet miraculously, they both awoke unscathed on the shore.
This enigmatic island is named Aeternum, where immortality reigns supreme. Aelstrom, fueled by his conviction that he could rally the masses, repeatedly found himself vanquished in duels. Each time, he rose again, undeterred. Scaevola, seeing the folly in his master's ambition, eventually unveiled the truth: Aelstrom's inflated ego stemmed partly from his royal heritage. In their past, every duel and game had been manipulated to ensure his victory.
Yet, Aelstrom remained deaf to his assistant's pleas, choosing instead to seek guidance from a dark sorcerer perched atop the volcanic peak. With each plunge into the fiery abyss, he emerged with a new piece of armor, determined to prove his worth. Meanwhile, Scaevola remained steadfastly loyal to his king.
Eventually, Aelstrom stormed into the throne room, adorned with his newfound armor. The current king, with a weary sigh, dispatched him effortlessly, tearing off the necklace and departing. As Aelstrom knelt, bewildered and seeking purpose, he grasped the crown and fled to the beach.
But the crown held no real power, and with no one to share his glory, Aelstrom realized the emptiness of his pursuits. In a moment of clarity, he chose to melt the crown and forge an arm for his devoted assistant. In this realm of eternity, it seemed that friendship shone brighter than gold.
