Yet, to everyone's surprise, he finds himself back in Korea, earnestly pleading with the police chief to redeploy him into the field. Reluctantly acquiescing, the chief dispatches him to the Violent Crimes Unit 2 at the Songwon Police Station.

However, this unit pales in comparison to Yu-bin's capabilities. Renowned for being the least efficient detective squad, they're currently grappling with a string of unsuccessful arrests, their incompetence painted in comic relief as mishaps abound. The novice member, Tan-sik, inadvertently electrocutes himself, while Lieutenant Joong-Ryeok lets a suspect slip through his fingers due to a lack of scooter-stopping prowess. Jung-hwan and Min-seo nearly collapse in their futile pursuit, painting a chaotic picture of ineptitude.

Amidst this debacle, the police chief is compelled to shuffle the team's leadership, relocating them to a makeshift office—a daycare center adjacent to the Songwon Police Station, where the department is undergoing renovations. This new hub bears little resemblance to a professional setting, with toys scattered about and children frolicking in the background.

Days pass in anticipation as the team speculates on their impending captain. Jung-hwan contends that Joong-Ryeok's due promotion would likely secure him the post. Amidst their speculations, a murder call disrupts their banter, prompting Tan-sik and Joong-Ryeok to rush to the scene. Inevitably, the novice's misstep leads them to the wrong address, where they break into a stranger's home, mistakenly identifying a slumbering man as the victim. The comedic climax unfolds as the 'deceased' miraculously awakens, resembling a modern-day Lazarus risen from the dead.

Fortunately, Jung-hwan's timely call redirected them to the accurate destination, unraveling a grim scene where a man's lifeless body lay, accompanied by a suicide note. Upon arrival, the team swiftly assessed the situation, initially concluding it as a tragic suicide. Joong-Ryeok, however, harbored doubts, sensing an underlying complexity, yet his instincts were momentarily overshadowed as Yu-bin, the new team captain, unexpectedly entered the fray, challenging his preliminary assessment. A punch was on the brink of being unleashed by Joong-Ryeok until Yu-bin's authoritative introduction halted the confrontation and initiated a thorough reexamination of the crime scene.

Yu-bin's keen eye instantly dissected the oversights of their initial investigation, meticulously pointing out discrepancies such as the disparity between the household printing paper and that used for the suicide note. Undeterred by the initial findings, Yu-bin insisted on a meticulous exploration, leading the team back to their office to delve deeper into the mystery.

As Yu-bin familiarized himself with his new surroundings, whispers and gossips about him circulated among the team members, each harboring a disdain for the newcomer, except for Jung-hwan, who shamelessly sought to ingratiate himself.

The case briefing, presided over by a contentious Joong-Ryeok, sparked another round of verbal sparring with Yu-bin. The spotlight fell on Lim Dong-il, a road manager for the renowned star Kang Min-jae, a name only Jung-hwan recognized amidst the team's apparent ignorance of Hallyu celebrities. Ironically, Jung-hwan's condescending tone softened when Yu-bin confessed his own unfamiliarity with Min-jae.

Post-briefing, Yu-bin carefully chose Min-seo as his companion to confront the entertainment company. Min-seo, intrigued by Yu-bin's astute observations, jokingly teased him about possessing clairvoyant abilities. Mr. Jang, the CEO, feigned shock and disbelief at Dong-il's demise, portraying Min-jae and Dong-il as amicable colleagues devoid of workplace conflicts. However, Mr. Jang's aloofness towards Dong-il rang hollow. An awkward misunderstanding ensued during the interrogation, mistakenly attributing an unexpected sound to Min-seo's embarrassment.

Outside the office, Yu-bin's chance encounter with an employee unveiled a darker picture of Min-jae's volatile temper,滥用权力, and bullying tendencies, contradicting Mr. Jang's sanitized narrative. Min-seo's indignation boiled over at the revelation, only to be tempered by Yu-bin's admonition to maintain focus. Her retort was swift, labeling Yu-bin as unlikable despite his competence.

As the police departed, Mr. Jang and Min-jae conspired over dinner, Min-jae fretting over the potential public backlash. Mr. Jang, however, reassured him, dismissing the investigation as routine.

Meanwhile, Tan-sik, Joong-Ryeok, and Jung-hwan sifted through CCTV footage, uncovering a familiar face—a con artist who had once duped Tan-sik—exiting Dong-il's residence on the fateful night. With Joong-Ryeok and Jung-hwan retreating to their homes, Tan-sik was left to oversee a surprise addition to their office: a group of children engaging in playful antics.

Min-seo and Yu-bin's return to the office was met with this unexpected sight, further complicating an already intricate case.
