Cunningly, he dialed the emergency services, falsely reporting a wasp infestation in the building. As the emergency personnel scoured each home, he maneuvered his drone to capture a video of Jong-soo's wife entering the passcode to grant them access to the vault room to search for the fictional pests.

Subsequently, he returned, pretending to offer to replace the house filters. While Jong-soo's wife stepped out to afford him privacy, he swiftly made his way to the room and snatched the first item he laid eyes on. However, fate dealt him a cruel blow when the painting was snatched from him while attempting to sell it to Director Cheon, who operates a gallery entangled in a web of cultural asset smuggling and money laundering. The sticking point is, the team can't locate Director Cheon. To reclaim the painting, they must approach him casually. This leads the team to Mr. Jeon, Director Cheon's advisor, a renowned figure in the art world, trusted by many despite his questionable connections.

Min-seo and Yu-bin pay Mr. Jeon a visit. Initially, he's reluctant to lend a hand, but his stance softens upon learning that Min-seo is Jang-soo's daughter. As it happens, Min-seo's dad is one of Mr. Jeon's closest friends, who has bailed him out numerous times. He excuses himself to attend to his guests, but Min-seo and Yu-bin politely offer to wait outside until he's free.

As they wait, Min-seo shares memories of her dad and asks Yu-bin to keep it under wraps from the team. Yu-bin finds himself slightly intrigued, as they had studied Min-seo's dad during their training, often pondering over why Jang-soo was caught loitering outside a girls' high school.

Now, he comes to the realization that Jang-soo braved his hiding place to witness Min-seo's graduation that fateful day. Min-seo, in turn, feels a touch of warmth knowing that her father attempted to be there for her, despite his fugitive status. Yu-bin gently urges her to contemplate forgiving her dad, emphasizing that time is of the essence.

As night descends, Mr. Jeon graciously agrees to facilitate a meeting between the team and Director Jeon. Yu-bin confidently assures his comrades that he possesses the talent of a seasoned actor and will excel in his undercover role. However, this assertion proves to be a gross exaggeration, as his acting skills are woefully inadequate. Jong-ryeok also stumbles in his tasks, but somehow, the team manages to pull off the arrest of Director Cheon.

After successfully closing the case, Yu-bin persistently advocates for Commissioner Hee-ryong to reward his diligent team. The reward ceremony turns into another humorous spectacle, with Hee-ryong nearly suffering hearing loss from the festivities.

Later that evening, Yu-bin accompanies Min-seo on her mission to locate the transit card belonging to the elderly man. She locates him but discovers that the cherished photograph has vanished. Despite this, she returns the card to the grateful octogenarian. He opens up, sharing that while his daughter is still alive, he failed as a father and has been estranged from his family. The fear of rejection keeps him from apologizing, and he lives in constant regret. Min-seo encourages him to seek reconciliation with his family. Taking her own advice, she visits her father in prison.

The episode concludes with a poignant scene of Min-seo sobbing as she lays eyes on her dad for the first time in years. She wishes him a heartfelt happy birthday, and he beams with joy at the sight of his beloved daughter once again.
