The Fiery Priest – K-drama Season 2 Episode 4 1

On the villainous front, Du-heon adds Fire Eel and Ja-yeong to the most wanted list. Hong-sik, rage-fueled, grants Boss Park a final ultimatum – eliminate Fire Eel and bring him the priest along with his steadfast accomplice. Hong-sik tweaks the final touches on his ship, though hints of a potential fire hazard linger ominously.

Turning back to our trio, they grapple with the turn of events. Ja-yeong's team finds themselves under arrest, Fire Eel's henchmen have been set free, and all incriminating evidence has been obliterated. In a moment of desperation, Ja-yeong agrees to collaborate with Hae-il, unraveling the timeline of their downfall.

A nostalgic flashback illuminates the moment Du-heon halted Ja-yeong's squad mid-arrest of Sang-man's gang. When defiance met his authority, brute force intervened. The leader of Ja-yeong's squad happens to be the junkie daughter of the Presidential Secretary. By sparing her, Du-heon ascended to the position of departmental chief.

Presently, Hae-il seeks out Kyung-sun to secure Ja-yeong's removal from the wanted list. She brings forth additional intelligence – Busan once housed two drug rings that mysteriously vanished, succeeded by a questionable journalist's declaration of the city's drug-free status. They conclude that a new, shadowy ring, the Ghost Ring, decimated its predecessors and now reigns supreme.

Meanwhile, Gozhaev leads Gu and Ja-yeong to his opulent mansion, a place of such grandeur that it takes their breath away. Ja-yeong claims the luxurious bedroom for herself, while Gu commands Gozhaev to prepare tea. They delve into their strategy to ensnare the ghosts, ultimately deciding to use Gozhaev as a decoy, posing as the elusive Fire Eel.

Elsewhere, Hong-sik is seen groveling to Du-heon for his mishandling of the Fire Eel situation, pleading for guidance on navigating customs. Du-heon agrees to lend a hand, but only if Hong-sik offers his unwavering support in return.

Hae-il and Chae Do-u set out to prepare a heartfelt breakfast for Ms. Song, the elderly lady they hold in high esteem. However, their good intentions are shattered when they witness her being forcibly bundled into a van. The scene shifts to a harrowing revelation: all the elderly are being transported to Hong-sik's ship, where they are forced to manufacture and package drugs. Hong-sik greets them with a false sense of camaraderie, promising generous compensation for their silence, while Boss Park and his henchmen treat them with disdain.

Turning our attention to Kyung-sun's assignment, she finds herself transferred to Du-heon's modest, somewhat dilapidated office. Her past is marred by corruption; she's a prosecutor buried under a mountain of debt, caught red-handed accepting bribes. She forms a bond with Kim Ma-ri, the secretary, and takes it upon herself to remove Ja-yeong's name from the wanted list. However, Ma-ri's suspicions are aroused when Kyung-sun inquiries about the case file of Kim In-seok, the VIP drug user from the first episode.

Ja-yeong has grown fond of the Gudam crew, but her affection is tempered when Gu discovers their familial connection and treats her as if she were his own niece.

Back on the ship, the potent fumes overwhelm Ms. Song, but the ruthless thugs merely drag her away without a second thought. Boss Park, upon seeing her frail form, is reminded of Fire Eel's coma-bound mother and decides to use Ms. Song as leverage. Meanwhile, the Gudam crew struggles to transform Gozhaev into a convincing Fire Eel. Their next step is for Ja-yeong to send a text to Sang-man's phone, proposing a swap: 10 million won for Fire Eel.

As Du-heon ponders whether Hong-sik possesses the prowess to propel him into the presidency, Ma-ri escorts Kyung-sun to her humble abode, perched precariously above a bustling, clamorous bar. Kyung-sun, caught in this unforeseen quagmire, scolds Hae-il vehemently for placing her in such an unsavory situation. Meanwhile, Hae-il finds himself patiently awaiting the arrival of Ms. Song, who is unexpectedly dumped at her doorstep. His fury knows no bounds, yet she calms his tempestuous spirits, urging him to let bygones be bygones. Over dinner, his incessant probing into the enigmatic "food factory" only deepens his suspicion of its shadowy underpinnings.

Hae-il confides in Chae, who, brimming with aggression, seeks to confront the ruffians head-on. However, Hae-il wisely advises him to explore alternate avenues, employing his fiery temper only as a last resort. This counsel leads Chae to tail Ms. Song's van to the port, where he is apprehended by the thugs guarding a suspicious vessel. Disguising himself as a disoriented delivery boy, Chae surreptitiously gathers information, intending to report the ship if it proves to be illegal and unauthorized.

On a serene Sunday, Ja-yeong is introduced to Father Han and Sister Kim, and an immediate rapport blossoms between them. Their tranquil moment is abruptly disrupted by Hong-sik's grand entrance, adorned in opulence and accompanied by an entourage of bodyguards. During the sermon, Hong-sik's mockery of the religious discourse does not escape Hae-il's notice. Following the service, Hong-sik contributed an astonishing 2 billion won as a donation, secretly wondering whether such an offering could pave a golden road to heaven for him. Hae-il attempts to decline the donation, but Hong-sik, unyielding, departs abruptly.

As Hae-il reunites with his companions, Gu receives a call from his uncle, revealing that Ja-yeong is indeed connected to them, albeit as an aunt. Overjoyed by this revelation, Ja-yeong insists that Gu address her with due respect and continues to chide him playfully.

Hae-il then encounters Kyung-sun, who is irked by Du-heon's lingering distrust. The perceptive priest deduces that Du-heon's true desire is to be served, planting a seed of an idea in Kyung-sun's mind.

Onto the exchange, there appears the photographic evidence of Fire Eel that Ja-yeong had dispatched to the ghosts, captured three days prior. Sensing an underlying discrepancy, Hong-sik promptly alerts his Laotian team to maintain vigilance, while instructing Boss Park to escort Gu, Ja-yeong, and Hae-il to his presence. Boss Park and his henchmen arrive at the designated location, holding a secret trump card – Fire Eel's mother. However, the Gudam crew had already whisked her away to safety, leaving them with a mere paid actress who casually walks off the stage.

Undeterred by this setback, Boss Park gives a subtle signal to his thugs, who swiftly surround Gu, Ja-yeong, and Hae-il. A comical brawl breaks out, with Ja-yeong accidentally landing blows on Gu, venting her frustration on the thugs for harming her nephew. The situation escalates as officers from the Dohan station arrive on the scene and proceed to arrest the ghosts, wrapping everything up in a neat bow.

Unfortunately, Hong-sik's Laotian team crashes into the scene like a storm, engaging in a brawl with the cops. Park's thugs seize the opportunity to flee before Hae-il can intervene. Suddenly, Hae-il feels a dizzy spell and is confronted by a couple of Laotian thugs. As The Fiery Priest Season 2 Episode 4 concludes, Hong-sik watches from the sidelines, amusement etched across his face as he gazes at Hae-il.
