As they traverse to the remote address, Rose cautions Peter against surprising her again, leaving her bewildered. She also questions Peter's doubts about Zadar, the Balkan dissident who leads the PIF, and his involvement in the Metro bombing. Upon arriving at the address, they are perplexed by the presence of an engineering company in such an isolated location, far removed from civilization. There, they encounter Lorna, a lady whose skepticism is quickly dispelled when Rose reveals her identity.

Lorna, who once worked alongside Emma and Henry, reminisces about their friendship, mourning their untimely demise. She is persuaded to lend her expertise, fearing an imminent attack. Emma and Henry had approached her for blueprints, and Lorna, true to her profession, had collected the information without questioning its purpose. She offers to assist Rose and Peter in deciphering the other documents requested by Henry and Emma.

As they journey into town, Rose gains a profound insight into Lorna's connection with her aunt and uncle, shocked to uncover the secrets of their clandestine lives. Lorna speaks fondly of their remarkable deeds, leaving Rose in awe. Peter inquiries about Osprey, but Lorna confesses her ignorance of the codename. She also probes into the nature of Peter and Rose's relationship, her curiosity piqued by a seemingly familiar yet elusive connection to Peter's father.

In the bustling town, they ducked into a cozy cafe where Rose and Lorna delved into the digital realm, scrutinizing the files Lorna had dispatched to Henry and Emma. As Peter scouted the surroundings, Lorna pondered over the trustworthiness of Peter, querying his credentials on the files. The search yielded no results, leaving them puzzled.

Peter stumbled upon a revelation, discovering that the underground Metro line ran right beneath the cafe, intersecting the area Henry and Emma had been probing. Lorna steered them towards examining the initial target of the bomb. As they bid farewell, she cautioned them to tread carefully and gently reminded Peter to desist from the quest to vindicate his father, for it would only breed sorrow.

At Georgetown University, a tender bond bloomed between Maddie and her professor. Lips met in a fleeting kiss, while he even captured her essence in a painting. Their flirtatious exchanges and kisses were abruptly interrupted by the professor, who retreated, pretending remorse for his indiscretion. Maddie reassured him, yet he excused himself.

Meanwhile, Erik challenged Arrington's approach to befriending Maddie. Arrington defended her methods, labeling Erik as outdated. She insisted that her way resonated with Maddie, silencing Erik's doubts. Arrington also resented her subordinates' admiration for Erik, whom they revered as a legend.

Suddenly, Peter's phone rang, Cisco informing him that the vehicle he had requested to track had been located in a residential area. Peter instructed Cisco to wait for him before approaching the residence, warning of its perilous nature. They hastened back to D.C., where Cisco met Rose. Together, Peter and Cisco searched the house, but it was too late. Ellen and Dale had fled, leaving behind the gruesome aftermath of Lorna's death. She had fought valiantly, refusing to divulge information, but they had silenced her, burying her deep in the forest.

After a thorough search, Peter and Rose sought refuge in a motel. Rose continued her investigation, delving deeper into the files, seeking to unravel why someone from the White House had been embroiled in the Metro bombing. Over dinner, they forged a deeper connection, and Peter confessed the turmoil he had endured after the bombing, which had ultimately led to his split with Zoe. The following morning, Rose awoke early, resuming her analysis of the files. Peter contacted Farr, who revealed that she had detected spyware on her phone, instructing him to swap SIM cards immediately.

Peter provides her with a detailed update on their ongoing investigation. He divulges his theory about how the bomb narrowly missed its intended victim, and he expresses his conviction that another attack is imminent, likely to occur within the next five days. Farr urges him to join them at the end of the day so they can present all their findings to the FBI.

Meanwhile, Maddie attends a class with her teacher, and their interactions soon become intimate. The teacher warns her to be discreet while pretending to care deeply for her. Maddie proposes abandoning the agents and meeting him at his residence. Tragically, Arrington is oblivious to the impending danger. Her focus remains solely on Erik, who suggests they call a truce and collaborate.

After successfully completing the mission, Dale informs his client, who then relays the information to the Vice President. The Vice President inquiries about the timeline for resolution and is reassured by the response. He hangs up the phone and promptly heads to Maddie's dorm, where he chastises her for her behavior at the bar.

At the motel, Rose discovers footage of the Metro bombing. Peter's eyes widen when he recognizes Arrington. It appears she was working on that fateful day, but the video fails to reveal who she was guarding. Peter's concern deepens; he fears this may no longer be a terrorist attack, but rather an assassination attempt targeting someone within the government.
