The Summer I Turned Pretty – Season 2 Episode 2 1

After a phone call with Jeremiah, Belly impulsively left home without informing her mother or Steven. She boarded a bus to Conrad's college, feeling a pang of guilt for not informing Laurel of her absence. She texted her mother, falsely claiming to be at Taylor's house.

Meanwhile, Jeremy frantically contacted Conrad's college friends, hoping for any sign of contact. Laurel, preparing for a book promotion tour, informed Steven of her departure. The mother-son duo shared breakfast, their conversation revolving around Belly. Laurel mentioned that Belly was at Taylor's as she had ended her relationship with Milo.

As Laurel tried on new outfits alone, she reminisced about her time with Susannah. Meanwhile, Belly and Jeremiah met outside Conrad's college, and he wasn't surprised to find her searching for his brother. They headed to Conrad's dorm room, learning that he was agitated about something related to the beach house. Jeremiah fretted that Conrad might suppress his emotions, only to explode when no one was around to support him. Determined, Belly informed Jeremiah that she would accompany him to the beach house, regardless of his approval.

During their journey, Jeremiah shared that he had visited the beach house with Susannah before her untimely death in spring. He urged Belly to call Conrad, but her calls were unanswered. Belly revealed that they hadn't spoken since Susannah's funeral, leaving a heavy silence between them.

Suddenly, Jeremiah's car screeched to a halt as a flat tire halted their progress. Belly, claiming to be a pro at such matters, offered guidance to Jeremiah, but unfortunately, he stumbled into a murky puddle of mud. Frustrated, Jeremiah snapped at Belly, accusing her of betraying him by kissing his brother after their brief encounter.

Deeply remorseful, Belly apologized to Jeremiah for her absence during his trying times and vowed to make amends for the lost moments, as tears streamed down his face.

At the bustling mall, Steven spotted Taylor alone and inquired about Belly's whereabouts. Taylor initially defended her friend but Steven's sharp instincts revealed Belly's deception towards Laurel.

Determined to find Belly, Steven trailed Taylor to her home and insisted on meeting her friend. Taylor's attempts to fabricate another lie were futile, and she eventually confessed that Belly was with Jeremiah, searching for the missing Conrad. She begged Steven to stay out of it, urging him to let Belly handle the situation on her own.

As Belly and Jeremiah made their way to the beach house with pies in hand, they encountered a mutual friend who inadvertently reminded Jeremiah of Susannah. Belly swiftly steered the conversation away, her thoughts wandering back to her unfinished date with Conrad. Jeremiah drove them to the beach house, but Belly's mind was transfixed on the memory of her last journey there with Conrad.

Upon arriving, Jeremiah hurriedly searched for Conrad's whereabouts, while Belly wandered aimlessly. The episode culminated with Belly entering the beach house, informing Jeremiah that the serene abode had been listed for sale, her voice trailing off as she stumbled upon Conrad.
