The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 8 1

As Belly and Jeremiah await Conrad's return, she assures Jeremiah that her kiss wasn't a revenge tactic. Suddenly, Conrad joins them, offering to drive Belly home. During the ride, he taunts Jeremiah with veiled references to Belly, causing Belly to intervene and ask him to desist.

Upon returning home, Steven ventures out to meet Taylor but finds her surrounded by friends. Amongst the chatter, he learns that Milo has released a diss album mocking him. After Taylor's friends depart, the couple delves into Belly's romantic entanglements, shocked to realize they each favor a different Fisher brother. Taylor vouches for Jeremiah, while Steven argues that Conrad is misunderstood and behaved poorly due to his mother's loss. Their argument leaves the evening on a sour note.

On their way back, Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah are caught in a storm. Hunger prompts them to exit the highway. While Belly attends to her needs in the restroom, the brothers argue over Belly's snack preferences, with Jeremiah growing agitated by Conrad's sarcasm. Jeremiah asks Conrad if he still harbors feelings for Belly, reminding him that his desire for her never waned since their initial encounter. The shopkeeper interrupts, warning of a severe storm and advising them to seek shelter at a nearby motel.

Inside the car, Belly selects the snack Conrad had picked for her, disregarding Jeremiah's offering. The trio decides to stay at the motel, discovering that only one room is available. Nonetheless, they settle for it. Belly ascends to the room with Jeremiah, and the two confide in each other about their respective feelings.

Jeremiah urged Belly to settle her emotions with Conrad before embarking on a new chapter, for he did not want to revisit the tumultuous summer they had shared. Belly vowed to confront Conrad the following morning and retreated to take a shower. Meanwhile, Jeremiah encountered Conrad outdoors and engaged him in a heartfelt conversation. Jeremiah insisted that Conrad acknowledge his lingering affection for Belly and confess his true feelings. He encouraged Conrad to reveal his love for Belly, unaware that she still had a chance with him. Jeremiah desired their happiness, and he was content if Belly chose him, as he had matured in his understanding of love.

Inside, Belly sought Laurel's counsel on her tumultuous emotions. The motherly figure advised Belly to embrace the freedom to fall in love often. Laurel later attended a writers' gathering and befriended a new writer named Sandra. The audience applauded Laurel as she read a poignant excerpt from her novel, detailing the bond between Belly and Susannah.

As the night wore on, Belly tossed and turned, unable to find slumber. Eventually, Conrad, who was also awake, confessed his enduring love for Belly, without expecting a response. A flashback transported the audience to a time when Susannah was still alive. Laurel had taken Belly to visit her, devastated to see Susannah's deteriorated state. Nonetheless, the two found solace in sharing Belly's heartache. Jeremiah, finding Belly in Susannah's room, gave them privacy.

Belly reflected on that night in the motel bed. At home, Steven was annoyed by Milo's disparaging track about him and noticed Taylor's silence. The following day, Belly awoke before the boys and prepared herself. Upon emerging, she noticed Jeremiah's absence. Searching for Conrad, she felt a pang of anxiety but was relieved to find him. Jeremiah explained he had gone to fetch breakfast, and Belly shared her conversation with Conrad. She confessed her thoughts were solely focused on Jeremiah, and they embraced passionately.

Later, Belly entered the room for a profound discussion with Conrad. He confessed his jealousy over her kiss with Jeremiah and his role in instigating their quarrel. Belly resolved to let go of her feelings for Conrad, erasing the past. However, Conrad insisted she keep the infinity necklace, a symbol of their bond. He then left, allowing Jeremiah to escort Belly home.

The trio agreed to reunite at the beach house on Independence Day and parted ways. Belly and Jeremiah rode home together. Outside Taylor's abode, Steven waited with Belly's bag, anticipating her arrival at volleyball camp. Their argument escalated, with Taylor asserting her dominance in past relationships. Belly confessed her profound love for Steven, fearing she appeared foolish for caring so deeply. Steven assured her that Taylor still held the upper hand, and they embraced.

Steven drove Taylor to camp, where they were stunned to see Belly and Jeremiah arrive unexpectedly. Steven offered his support for their relationship, while Jeremiah cheered Belly on from the sidelines. At camp, Belly pledged her dedication to the team and the sport. Together, they convinced Coach Shaw to reinstate Belly on the volleyball team.

The season culminated with Belly playing volleyball while Jeremiah watched proudly from the stands. Her thoughts wandered to the years she had envisioned a future with Conrad, realizing how different the present was from her imagination. Meanwhile, Conrad recreated the beach house, mirroring Susannah's arrangements.
