Published: Jun 28 2024

Episode 7 of The Terminal List commences with James Reece's daring evasion of the police, as he relentlessly hunts down the perpetrators behind RD4895. The trio gather, realizing the need for a strategic approach. Howard, confident in their legal protection and the base's soldiers as a safeguard, dismisses Reece's threat. Meanwhile, Reece observes from afar, perched on Ben's yacht, scoping out the territory. Ben proposes a sniper attempt, but cautions it's a risky move; a missed shot could expose them, jeopardizing any future chances of eliminating the trio.

However, the situation intensifies when Secretary Hartley publicly brands James Reece as the number one enemy. Tony takes charge once again, emphasizing the importance of infiltrating Reece's mission to understand his kill list and gain an advantage. Katie's unexpected arrival at the office throws a wrench into their plans, spilling the beans on the Cap Table and revealing the identities of those responsible for RD4895, as well as Reece's mission to eliminate them. Katie's sole desire is to complete her story, but Tony refuses to let her leave until their mission is complete.

The Terminal List – Season 1 Episode 7 1

Realizing the danger he's in, Captain Howard alerts his family to pack up and flee immediately. With Howard absent, Tony dispatches his men to investigate the Naval base. That night, James Reece tracks down Cox and confronts him in the parking lot. After rendering him unconscious, Reece drags Cox to the waterside where he underwent his BUDS training. Cox attempts to justify his actions, but Reece is unyielding, accusing Cox of sending his comrades to die knowingly.

After disposing of Cox, Reece calls Katie, apologizing for dragging her into this mess. As the camera pans out, we catch up to the opening scenes of this episode, before the time jump. Two more targets remain, and Reece has Howard firmly in his sights.

The tension at the FBI rises as Tony is abruptly removed from the investigation for allegedly "exceeding" his authority. His proximity to the truth is becoming increasingly apparent, especially after discovering that the Pentagon initially sanctioned RD4895. Tony urgently shares this revelation with Katie, warning her that he's been dismissed and urging her to publish the information as soon as possible.

Katie hurries to the library, furiously typing everything she knows about RD4895, highlighting Lorraine Hartley's involvement. She calls Jordan, sending him the files in a race against time, hoping to generate media attention and halt the crisis from spiraling further. Simultaneously, Katie sends a message to James, revealing that Hartley sanctioned the entire operation.

Later that evening, James' phone rings, interrupting the silence of his office. It's Pillar, and the situation is dire. Howard enters with explosives strapped to his chest, a grim consequence of Reece's earlier threat to his son. Howard offers a fleeting apology before Reece detonates the explosives remotely, sending both men soaring into the night sky.

Lorraine Hartley, the final name on the list, remains cunning. She manages to hack into Katie's email, intercepting the crucial information before it reaches Gordy. Undeterred, the Secretary arrives that night, offering Katie an exclusive interview if she's willing to accept. He promises to reveal the entire truth, leaving Katie with a choice that could change everything.
