Elsewhere, Antonia visits Marsus in his prison cell, where he begs her to sever ties with him to preserve their family's honor and their son's promising future. At the gathering of faction lords, Antonia, with heavy heart, declares that her husband is no longer a part of her life.

In a distant corner, Xenon and Scorpus share a moment of camaraderie. However, Caltonia attempts to seduce Rufus' wife, but she fiercely rejects the advances and flees, seeking refuge under Fonsoa's roof.

Later, Antonia, with ulterior motives, invites Scorpus back to the Blue faction, offering her own body as a bargaining chip, only to plant a deadly scorpion that nearly ends his life. Yet, Scorpus narrowly escapes death's grasp.

Meanwhile, Cala initiates a novel trend where children discreetly offer odds to those who have suffered losses during the ongoing games. In Scorpus' absence, Cala entrusts Andria and Fonsoa as the representatives of the Gold faction, much to Scorpus' chagrin.

Domitian appears, threatening Tenax to hand over his share of the ill-gotten gains. As soon as he departs, the children present Tenax with the profits they've earned from the secretive odds, and he grants them permission to continue, but only under the strictest confidentiality.

Cala learns of Kwame's impending rematch against Flamma. She acquires poison, sneaks into the gladiator's quarters, and cunningly mixes it into Flamma's unsuspecting drink. The following day, Flamma awakens and gulps down the tainted beverage, unaware of its deadly contents.

Concurrently, Kwame was coerced into wearing a suit of armor, dreading the imminent battle. As the clash commenced, Kwame was convinced that his fate was sealed until Flamma stumbled, the poison gradually sapping his strength. In a triumphant moment, Kwame emerged victorious, slaying Flamma and ascending to the status of a legendary hero.

Meanwhile, Ursus made his way to Tenax's abode. However, Tenax cunningly concealed himself within a cramped closet, leading Ursus to assume he had fled. As Ursus departed, he left behind the decapitated head of one of Tenax's men as a grisly token.

Later, Ursus ventured to Cala's residence. As Cala valiantly fought back, Ursus tightened his grip, nearly choking her to death. At the last moment, Tenax emerged from the shadows, seizing the opportunity to strike Ursus from behind, bringing an end to his menacing presence.
