Just as they prepare to depart, Kawai's arrival in her car shatters the fragile tranquility. The swindlers scramble to seal the temple doors, while Reiko seamlessly vanishes within its confines. Kawai, noting the unlocked entrance, presses forward with haste.

Aoyagi and his team seal the deal, presenting the swindlers with a check, unaware of the impending storm. Harrison, scheming, plots to discard Goto and Reiko, who have expressed their desire to sever ties. He warns Takumi, "It's not your foes who can hinder your triumph, but those closest to you."

Takumi's return home is marred by Kuramochi's revelation: Harrison's hand in the deceit that ruined his family. She presents a photograph, linking Harrison to the man who scammed Takumi's kin, and warns of Harrison's imminent plans to silence him, a tip-off from a vigilant freelance journalist.

Meanwhile, Aoyagi's crew revels in their perceived victory over the supposed Natsumi Kawai. Yet, the following day, their joy turns to chaos as their ownership claim is rejected, and the genuine Kawai alerts the authorities as the company prepares to raze the land.

Aoyagi stumbles through the site in a state of disbelief, his mind reeling with the memory of his colleague's dire warnings and the eerie demeanor of those around him. Yet amidst the chaos, the authenticity of Reiko's portrayal as Kawai lingers, casting a perplexing shadow. Witnessing Kawai's face transform into another's, Aoyagi seemingly succumbs to fate, his body crumpling under the impact of a truck, though Harrison's unexpected presence hints at a darker narrative.

Days pass, and Kuramochi is jolted from his thoughts by an anonymous call, while Orochi battles for recovery in the hospital's confines. Meanwhile, Takumi ventures into Harrison's secret lair only to find it stripped bare, a chilling revelation that Harrison has ordered the elimination of both Reiko and Goto. Armed with the truth about Harrison's nefarious involvement in his family's ruin and a borrowed pistol from a tech-savvy ally, Takumi confronts the villain.

But fate has other plans. Orochi, a pawn in Harrison's twisted game, lunges from the shadows, dagger in hand, striking Takumi from behind before meeting his own demise at Harrison's hands. Harrison, his eyes gleaming with triumph, attempts to execute Takumi, only to find his gun empty—the bullets wasted on Orochi's futile sacrifice.

Despite his grievous injuries, Takumi summons every ounce of strength to engage Harrison in a desperate struggle. As Harrison draws near the fatal blow, Kuramochi's timely intervention puts him in the crosshairs. In a desperate bid for escape, Harrison throws a grenade, its trajectory intercepted by Takumi's last gasp of effort. The explosion roars, engulfing them in a blinding flash, leaving both men unconscious.

In the aftermath, Takumi awakens in the hospital, his resolve unbroken. He pledges his full cooperation to Kuramochi in unraveling the case, as a police investigation delves into the depths of Aoyagi's corporation. Kuramochi shares their ongoing quest for Harrison and the missing funds, a pursuit that remains elusive.

The series concludes with a haunting image of Harrison, solitary and relentless, stalking through the wilderness, his hunting rifle in hand, a symbol of his unending quest for power and evasion from justice.
