The thrilling finale of Tracker Season 1 kicks off with Katie and Dylan, a vibrant young couple, braving the raging storm to set their storm trackers afloat. The tempest looms in the distance, urging them to hurry with their task. However, Katie's keen eyes spy something amiss near the shore, abruptly shifting the focus to Colter's arrival in Sandy Point, Oregon, intent on tracing their whereabouts.

Katie's mother, a close friend of Colter's, harbors suspicions that the duo has vanished amidst the fury of the storm. Sherriff Woods and his diligent team are meticulously arranging their search efforts, yet the atmosphere remains heavy with foreboding. Colter, however, is unswayed by the notion that the storm claimed them. Instead, he's drawn to Rachel, the third wheel of Katie and Dylan's storm-tracking trio. Lizzie believes Rachel might hold crucial clues.

Colter is also tasked with keeping tabs on his older brother Russell, whose mysterious disappearance at the climax of the previous episode remains unresolved. Reenie lends him a helping hand, though they both must navigate the murky waters of The Horizon's watchful eye. Rachel echoes Colter's hunch, bolstering it with compelling data that shifts the investigation in a new direction.

The duo's last known location and their final communication with Rachel provide a pivotal turn in the case. Lizzie and Colter plunge into the waters, determined to find answers. Colter's keen observation spots something amiss amidst the kelp beds, leading them to a chilling discovery - Dylan's lifeless body. The grisly sight fuels Colter's suspicion of foul play, a theory that meets resistance from the local law enforcement. He's cautioned to steer clear and refrain from casting aspersions on the town.

Yet, Colter remains steadfast, grilling Deputy Kelman for answers in Woods' absence. After a reluctant confession, Kelman reveals the existence of another couple, Xavier and Bo, who had a heated altercation with Katie and Dylan at the beach. The brothers exuded hostility and a protective air, seemingly guarding some secret. Colter struggles to pry more information from them, but Bobby comes to his rescue, deciphering the scrambled audio Colter had transmitted using Rachel's recording device. The pieces of the puzzle are slowly falling into place, but the truth remains elusive and fraught with danger.

It was abundantly clear that Dylan and Katie had been brutally attacked by unknown assailants. Bobby stumbled upon a crucial clue, revealing that Katie had ventured into an abandoned dockside building two days prior. Intrigued, Colter conducted an investigation and stumbled upon a chilling discovery - the lifeless body of Haley Thomas, a girl who had mysteriously vanished from Spokington three years ago.

A suspicion nagged at Colter's mind - Katie was on the hunt for Haley's killer. She was determined to unravel the mystery, and it seemed that those trying to conceal the truth had caught wind of her investigation. Colter reached out to Kelman, who played him a tape where Dylan was heard threatening someone named Talbott about the corpse.

Vince, a powerful businessman who frequently frequented the town for his extravagant parties and other endeavors, was now a prime suspect in Dylan and Katie's eyes. Colter braved Vince's mansion, deliberately allowing himself to be roughed up to create a distraction, enabling Bobby to hack into the house's wifi network. Their sleuthing revealed that Vince had contacted Xavier on the night the duo disappeared.

Reenie confronted Vince head-on about Haley's disappearance after the lavish bash held at his residence. He immediately turned defensive, his tone hardening as he warned Reenie to proceed with caution. Undeterred, Reenie stood her ground, and the confrontation between them simmered with tension.

Meanwhile, Colter kept a watchful eye on Vince's Sandy Point residence, only to be confronted by Bo, who held him at gunpoint. Colter cleverly bought himself some time by revealing that Xavier had been coerced by Bo to dispose of Katie but couldn't bring himself to do it. As a result, Katie was still alive, a fact that piqued Woods' interest in the ongoing investigation. Bo confessed that he had left Katie injured but alive. Colter located her, still breathing, and brought her back to safety. Katie confirmed Bo's account of the incident.

Xavier, intent on finishing the job, made a move, but the duo managed to overpower him. Woods, having caught wind of the developments, attempted to use Lizzie as a bargaining chip, demanding that Colter hand him over to Katie to secure her release. Little did he know it was all a ruse, and Woods was soon apprehended by the police. Reenie succeeded in getting Vince arrested and also provided Colter with vital information about Russell's whereabouts - he was alive and well in Argentina. Colter invited Reenie to join him for a well-deserved break, but she politely declined, preferring to stay put.

As the dust settled on the case, Lizzie revealed a bombshell to Colter - his father had been involved in an affair with her mother. She further disclosed that while rummaging through her mother's belongings, she had stumbled upon a box that Colter's father had given her. Shockingly, Dory now had possession of this box, but she had kept it a secret from Colter. The season drew to a close with Colter content with what he knew - for now - as he hit the beach to unwind and take a load off his mind.
