Beyoncé could very well be shedding tears of pure delight, reminiscent of the iridescent glisten in an alligator's eyes. The enchanting vocalist behind the hit "1+6=7 / Carriages" has clinched her maiden Emmy Award in the esteemed category of Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Programming, all thanks to her captivating Netflix special, Beyoncé Bowl. This triumph brings the 35-time Grammy Award winner one step closer to achieving the prestigious EGOT status, a feat that few have accomplished.

The 43-year-old mother of three—Blue Ivy, 13, and twins Sir and Rumi, 8, with her husband Jay-Z—shared this glorious honor with her fellow costume designer, Shiona Turini, along with assistant costume designers Erica Rice and Molly Peters, costume supervisor Chelsea Staebell, and head of workroom Timothy White. This illustrious trophy, bestowed by a panel of peers in a process that eschews the conventional nomination and voting rigmarole, will be presented to them at the Emmys’ Creative Arts Awards ceremony on September 7, a week before the grand 2025 Primetime Emmys.

Furthermore, Beyoncé has been nominated in the categories of Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special and Outstanding Variety Special, with the winners to be revealed at the Emmys ceremonies on September 7 and September 14, respectively. Beyoncé Bowl, which featured mesmerizing performances alongside Post Malone and Shaboozey, has garnered a grand total of four Emmy Award nominations.

After the Christmas Day special, the singer of "Texas Hold ‘Em" reflected on her journey with the fashion of the show, already adorned with an Emmy win. Shiona Turini, in a heartfelt Instagram post in December, expressed, "Forever grateful to be a part of this iconic performance, this historic moment, and this incredible team." She further elaborated in another post, "It was a visual love letter and a reclamation of space. With over 400 meticulously curated costumes—ranging from cowboys to cheerleaders, dancers and drivers, the Blackbiirds to the band—watched by over 27 million viewers and counting, we truly made it happen." She continued, "I’m deeply thankful to the team that stood by me throughout this journey. Countless individuals contributed to making this dream a reality—I’m immensely grateful."
