The festival, hosted by the esteemed actor Hugh Jackman, is organized by Global Citizen, the world's foremost international advocacy organization striving to eradicate extreme poverty. This magnificent concert will unfold on September 28 at the Central Park Great Lawn in New York, promising an unforgettable experience.

The 2024 Global Citizen Festival marks a milestone for Lisa, as it is her first solo festival performance. As a member of the K-Pop supergroup Blackpink, Lisa and her bandmates (Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé) headlined the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival, making them the first K-Pop act to achieve such a feat.

"Lisa is not just a mesmerizing performer, but a formidable advocate, using her voice and platform to ignite action on some of the most pressing issues our world faces," stated Katie Hill, Global Citizen's svp and head of music, entertainment, and artist relations. "We eagerly anticipate welcoming Lisa, along with her devoted fans, the Lilies and Blinks, to Central Park in September," Hill added, referring to the global star's loyal fanbases.

Lisa recently unleashed her latest solo single, "Rockstar," at the end of June, marking the first release from her newly forged partnership with RCA Records. In December 2023, Blackpink renewed their exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment for group activities, but later, all four members chose to pursue solo ventures outside the label.

In February, Lisa announced the launch of her new company, LLOUD, describing it as "a platform to showcase my vision in music and entertainment." In April, RCA Records announced a partnership with Lisa and LLOUD, enabling Lisa to release new solo music under the label while retaining full ownership of her recordings.

The Global Citizen Festival, timed to coincide with the UN's General Assembly, which concludes just days before the concert, aims to "advocate for the equity of all people, urging governments, philanthropists, and the private sector to ensure that the basic needs of the world's marginalized communities are met, including immunization, robust health systems, quality education, and nutritious food."

Tickets to this momentous festival are free and can be earned through actions on the Global Citizen app or the festival's website, inviting everyone to be a part of this historic event.
