Chris Rock to Reprise Voice Role in ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ Animated Series

Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold are gearing up to reprise their roles in Comedy Central's upcoming animated series, a reboot of the highly praised UPN/CW sitcom. Once again, Chris Rock will charm us with his unique storytelling as he narrates the antics of his younger days.

This animated version of "Everybody Hates Chris" promises to be every bit as hilarious and heartfelt as the original. Rock, serving as both the narrator and executive producer, will once again take us through the hilarious ups and downs of his childhood, this time in a vibrant animated format.

Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold will bring back their iconic roles as Chris' loving parents, Julius and Rochelle. Tim Johnson Jr. will lend his voice to the younger Chris, while Ozioma Akagha Terrence Little Gardenhigh will breathe life into his younger siblings, Tonya and Drew. Gunnar Sizemore rounds out the cast as Chris' only friend at school, Greg.

"I'm thrilled to share another comedic slice of my childhood with the world," said Rock, whose enthusiasm for the project is evident.

Showrunner and executive producer Sanjay Shah added, "I initially hoped for free tickets to a Chris Rock stand-up show with this gig, but we've ended up creating something truly special that honors the original series we all adore."

"Everybody Still Hates Chris" hails from Eye Animation Productions, the animation wing of CBS Studios. The series entered development in 2021 and was greenlit by Comedy Central in 2022. Alongside Rock's Chris Rock Enterprises, Shah joins Ali LeRoi, the co-creator of the original sitcom, as executive producers. Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky from 3 Arts Entertainment, along with Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina from Titmouse animation studio, also lend their talents to this hilarious and heartwarming animated adventure.
