David Wilcock's time on Earth came to a tragic end on April 20th in Boulder County, Colorado. The paranormal writer and YouTuber, who built a platform through his videos on science and spirituality, passed away at the age of 53. According to authorities, the incident unfolded around 10:44 a.m. after deputies received a 911 call regarding an "unknown problem."
The emergency communications specialist believed the caller was in the midst of a mental health crisis, and when deputies arrived at the residence, located just outside the small town of Nederland, they found a man standing outside with an undisclosed weapon. Minutes later, the man turned the weapon on himself and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the incident, authorities searched the home and surrounding property but didn't find anyone else. They are now working with the Boulder County Coroner's Office to determine the cause and manner of death.
Wilcock had been active on YouTube in the days leading up to his death, with his last video being posted on April 19th. He was also a New York Times best-selling author and a frequent guest on Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. He was the star of the documentary film Above Majestic, according to his YouTube bio.
Though he wasn't as active on Instagram, he often poked fun at his prolonged absences while promoting his work. In fact, he acknowledged his three-year hiatus from Instagram in July 2024, writing, "I am back! I am finally feeling like posting again, so here we are!" A few years earlier, Wilcock joked about going MIA on social media again with a picture of himself surrounded by a bunch of question marks.
He captioned the April 2021 post, "What Happened to David Challenge? Whoever has the most ridiculous and hilarious idea of why David has not been on social media for the past two months wins!" He quipped, "Post your idea below, and the winner's crackpot theory will be read out on the next live stream with full credit."
The tragic end of David Wilcock's life serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and support. It's a sad day for those who knew and loved him, and for those who were inspired by his work and his passion for sharing knowledge.
