The romance between Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade has lost its former euphoria. After almost four years of whispering sweet nothings and fueling dating rumors, the "Euphoria" heartthrob and the YouTube sensation have reportedly called it quits, according to People magazine. E! News reached out to representatives for both Jacob and Olivia but has yet to receive a response.
This recent development comes on the heels of Jacob attending Cara Delevingne's star-studded 33rd birthday bash in Los Angeles, where the guest list boasted celebrities like Selena Gomez, Margot Robbie, and even Jacob's ex-girlfriend, Kaia Gerber. Meanwhile, Olivia, the daughter of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannuli, revealed in a TikTok video on July 16th that she had moved to Paris, albeit temporarily.
Since their romantic beginnings in 2021, the couple has kept their love life under wraps. However, they occasionally offered rare glimpses into their world. Most notably, Olivia quickly liked Instagram posts by Jacob's sister Isabella Elordi in April, praising her brother's film "The Narrow Road to the Deep North." They also showed their mutual support in person, with Jacob spending quality time with Olivia, her parents, and her older sister Bella Rose Giannulli during a vacation in Sardinia, Italy to celebrate Olivia's 25th birthday. Their getaway included a picturesque hotel room overlooking the pool, a cruise down the Venice River, pasta-making sessions, and soaking up the sun by the Mediterranean Sea.
Despite these moments, persistent breakup rumors dogged their relationship. Last January, a source close to the couple confirmed to E! News that they were still very much together.
Neither Olivia nor Jacob has publicly addressed their relationship status, with Jacob even declining to discuss his love life with GQ in November 2023, although he playfully remarked, "But I appreciate you giving me the space." Since his meteoric rise to fame following "The Kissing Booth," Jacob has admitted that sharing intimate aspects of his life is challenging, stating in 2022, "I can see an edge of a cliff, and I'm just teetering on the edge. My fear is: What step can't you go back from?"
On the other hand, Olivia understands the importance of setting boundaries in the public eye. "I think it's essential to be self-aware and mindful of what you're putting out there, and truly owning it," she told E! News in March 2023. "I'm more than blessed, and I have a beautiful life. Many people have it really hard."
