Jessica Biel has recently uncovered the quirky tale of her audition for the iconic film "The Notebook," alongside Ryan Gosling. During a guest appearance on the May 21st episode of "The View," the star of "The Better Sister" reminisced about her tryout for the cherished role of Allie in the beloved 2004 classic, where she was paired opposite Ryan. Biel emphasized that landing the part would have been a "career-defining opportunity," yet her audition took place amidst the chaotic shoot of the horror flick "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" in 2003.

The talented actress from "Bleeding Heart" vividly recalled being "drenched in blood" while auditioning alongside Gosling and director Nick Cassavetes. "Ryan and the director visited my trailer on set," shared the 43-year-old. Biel elaborated, "Our audition transpired within the confines of my workplace trailer. Regrettably, I didn't secure the role."

Despite losing out to Rachel McAdams, the moment lingered in Biel's mind for quite some time. She remembered being smeared in blood yet donning a pristine white tank top during her audition for "The Notebook." "I removed my cowboy hat and thought, 'Alright, I'd cherish falling in love with you. Let's make this happen,'" she chuckled as she recounted the scene. Biel added, "It was an eccentric, quintessential Hollywood experience."

This isn't the first time Biel has recounted her audition for this cinematic gem. In a 2011 interview with "Elle" magazine, she admitted her deep desire for the role but acknowledged that the audition hadn't panned out as hoped. "There are countless roles that slip away. We crave the thrill of overcoming rejection," she philosophized.
