Kendall Jenner is literally constructing her own empire. While the Kardashian star has soared to success in the modeling realm, she candidly revealed that there's one career path she'd willingly pause her runway pursuits for. "I swear to God, I'm going to drop everything and just dive into designing homes," Kendall declared to Vogue in an interview published on September 8. "I'm dead serious."
In fact, the 29-year-old supermodel confirmed that she's already translating her passion into action as she embarks on a major project: constructing her dream home. "I adore my space in LA, but I also have a deep appreciation for the simplicity of life," she explained. "I love waking up each morning, throwing on a bathing suit or sweatpants, skipping the makeup, and just embracing the freedom of my day."
And Kendall's unexpected foray into architecture might already have a potential client in the wings: her close friend Gigi Hadid, who confessed to the magazine, "She's one of the only people I'd trust to design a house for me."
Kendall has previously shed light on her experiences in the modeling industry, acknowledging that her achievements haven't come without their share of struggles. "I'm not going to sit here and claim I've had the toughest journey," she admitted on Emma Chamberlain's Anything Goes podcast in August 2024. "I've been incredibly fortunate, but I've also faced my own set of challenges, whether it's being overworked or missing out on a job I truly coveted."
Moreover, Kendall confessed that the profession can sometimes be "extremely isolating" due to the extensive travel required. "I've had those really dark nights where I've found myself in random cities, hysterically crying myself to sleep," she continued, "because I haven't been home in three months and I've been pretty much on my own the entire time."
Yet, despite the hardships, Kendall was quick to emphasize the perks of her chosen career. "It's truly a beautiful thing to be able to traverse the globe the way I have," she noted. "I probably would've never traveled as extensively or as adventurously as I have if it weren't for this job. And I've met a lot of incredible people along the way."
