Kourtney Kardashian candidly revealed that her journey to motherhood was far from smooth sailing. She bravely shared that she endured five unsuccessful IVF cycles and three egg retrievals before finally welcoming her precious 6-month-old son, Rocky, with Travis Barker. In response to a fan's inquiry about how she found the strength to persevere through such challenges, the Poosh founder poured her heart out on her Instagram Story on Monday.

"After a year of relentless efforts that included five failed IVF cycles and three egg retrievals, I decided to pause," she wrote. "My body finally relaxed, and I embraced God's plan for my life. We prayed fervently for whatever was destined for us, while I simultaneously prioritized my health and well-being."

Offering comfort to the fan, who mentioned going through six rounds of IVF, the 45-year-old Kardashian added, "I know how agonizing it can be to feel helpless, but having faith in God's plan and offering prayers holds immense power. Sending you all the best!"

The eldest Kardashian sister and Barker, 48, joyfully welcomed their first child together in November 2023. From the outset, they were candid about their conception journey, revealing on the premiere season of Hulu's "The Kardashians" that they were actively trying to conceive.

The couple, who tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, in May 2022, were also transparent about the unconventional methods they employed to enhance their chances of pregnancy. For instance, during Season 1 of "The Kardashians," Kardashian revealed that her fertility doctor had advised her to consume the Blink-182 drummer's semen four times a week.

By December 2022, Kardashian and Barker confirmed on the popular reality series that they had taken a break from IVF and later expressed their intention to try for a natural conception.
