Lindsay Lohan's life in Dubai is truly delightful. More than a decade after the "Mean Girls" sensation relocated to this bustling city in the United Arab Emirates, she recently reflected on her serene existence there, sharing her thoughts during a July 29th appearance on "Live With Kelly and Mark," alongside her husband, Bader Shammas, and their spirited 2-year-old son, Luai.
"It's a world away from Hollywood," Lindsay mused, "where I lead an exceptionally ordinary life. There's no anxiety about avoiding certain places for fear of paparazzi snapping photos of my son. I feel incredibly secure here."
The 39-year-old actress elaborated on Dubai's unique privacy laws, which she finds reassuring. "Photographing others in restaurants is illegal," she explained. "One must seek permission first, marking a stark contrast to my previous experiences. Privacy, after all, is paramount."
While Lindsay finds solace in Dubai's embrace with her spouse, whom she wed in 2022 after their chance encounter at a local eatery, she's not immune to the playful antics of toddlerhood. Sharing a charming anecdote with E! News earlier this month, she said, "I often find myself saying, 'Luai, don't do that.' But this morning, before the words left my lips, he mimicked me, saying, 'Don't do that, Luai,' and gave me that mischievous glance. I thought, 'Oh my goodness, he's making fun of me!'"
Life with her little one is a whirlwind of activity. "He's a runner!" Lindsay exclaimed. "Off like a shot, bolting out of the house, shouting, 'Outside!' and gone in a flash."
And when asked if she'd be game to switch places with her toddler, akin to her role-reversing antics with costar Jamie Lee Curtis in the upcoming "Freaky Friday" sequel, Lindsay chuckled. "I'm not quite at that stage with my son yet," she said. "He's still very much in his toddler phase."
