Taylor Swift has shown us a unique approach to this dilemma by cultivating a friendship with Sophie Turner, who parted ways with Joe Jonas at the tail end of summer. For years, it seemed like they were not on speaking terms, but things seemingly changed once Swift became friends with Turner. Once the actor grew close to Swift, the "Cruel Summer" singer seemingly put her past with Jonas behind her.

Back in 2019, Swift opened up to Entertainment Weekly about the inspirations behind her 2016 album "Reputation," and one of them was a surprising one: "Game of Thrones." Swift started watching the show in 2016 while working on the album, admitting that "so much of my imagination was spent on 'Game of Thrones.'" She explained that she took real-life experiences and added a "Game of Thrones" filter to different songs, saying, "'I Did Something Bad' I wrote after Arya and Sansa conspire to kill Littlefinger." Turner, of course, played the role of Sansa (Swift even confessed to EW that she wanted Sansa to sit on the Iron Throne). So, in a way, the friendship between Swift and Turner was somewhat predestined.
