"He left behind not just a discography, but a culture – a way of feeling music that touched millions of souls across four decades and five continents. He often said his purpose in life was ‘to heal through music,’” the spokesperson added.
The cause of death has not yet been revealed, adding to the sadness surrounding the loss of this musical giant.
DJ Dan, who was scheduled to perform at Dead Ringer, Nevada, on Saturday, March 28th, unfortunately did not come to the venue, and the event was subsequently canceled by the promoter. Throughout his career, the Washington-born artist released several critically acclaimed albums, including Funk the System, Beats 4 Freaks, and Future Retro.
