Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick return with yet another enigmatic tale brimming with unexpected twists. On February 26th, Amazon MGM Studios unveiled the enticing first teaser trailer for "Another Simple Favor," the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 thriller "A Simple Favor."
Reprising their roles with mesmerizing flair, Blake Lively, 37, as Emily Nelson, and Anna Kendrick, 39, as Stephanie Smothers, reunite under the directorial prowess of Paul Feig. This cinematic delight will make its grand entrance at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 7th, promising an unforgettable world premiere.
The captivating synopsis hints at an exhilarating journey as Stephanie and Emily embark on an adventure to the stunning island of Capri, Italy, for Emily's lavish wedding to an affluent Italian tycoon. "Amidst the dazzling guests, be prepared for murder and betrayal to RSVP to a wedding replete with more serpentine turns than the winding path from Marina Grande to Capri's town square," teases the synopsis further.
The announcement of a sequel to "A Simple Favor," which was adapted from Darcey Bell's 2017 novel, came in May 2022. Alongside Kendrick and Lively, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho, and Kelly McCormack all don their roles once more, adding depth and complexity to the narrative.
