The script for this enthralling sequel, 'Nobody 2,' is a collaborative effort between Odenkirk, Derek Kolstad, Aaron Rabin, and Umair Aleem, and plot details remain shrouded in mystery. The original film, directed by Ilya Naishuller, centered around Odenkirk's portrayal of Hutch Mansell, a family man who embarks on a journey to reclaim his past as an assassin after his loved ones become targets of a ruthless crime boss. 'Nobody' made a powerful debut in theaters in March 2021, amassing over $57 million at the global box office.

The production of 'Nobody 2' boasts an impressive lineup of producers, including Kelly McCormick and David Leitch from 87North, alongside Odenkirk and Marc Provissiero from Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, and Braden Aftergood from Eighty Two Films. Jay Polidoro and Tony Ducret will oversee the sequel on behalf of Universal.

Tjahjanto, whose works in the horror franchise 'V/H/S' and Netflix releases like 'The Night Comes for Us,' 'May the Devil Take You,' and 'The Big 4' have garnered critical acclaim, will bring his unique vision to this exciting new chapter. Represented by WME, Entertainment 360, and attorney Marios Rush, he is poised to deliver a sequel that will undoubtedly thrill audiences.

In addition to 'Nobody 2,' Odenkirk, best known for his portrayal of Saul Goodman in 'Breaking Bad' and 'Better Call Saul,' is also set to star in the action-packed film 'Normal,' a collaboration with writer Kolstad scheduled to begin production this fall. Kolstad, the creator of the 'John Wick' franchise, is represented by UTA, Circle Management + Production, and Behr Abramson. Rabin, a co-executive producer on Amazon's 'Jack Ryan,' is represented by Grandview, CAA, and Gendler Kelly. Aleem, who penned the 2021 Netflix thriller 'Kate,' is represented by Verve and attorney Rush.

In his review for The Hollywood Reporter, critic John DeFore praised 'Nobody' as "more fun than most" of its contemporaries and "satisfying enough that it could spawn sequels." The news of Tjahjanto's involvement in 'Nobody 2' was first reported by Deadline, further fueling anticipation for this highly anticipated sequel.
