Green, set to take the helm as director, will collaborate closely with Grabinski, who will pen the screenplay. Andrew Lazar, a seasoned producer, will spearhead the production, with Mal Smith serving as co-producer. Additionally, Grabinski will don the hat of executive producer.

While the specifics of "Hex" remain shrouded in mystery, akin to a traveler's concealed treasures, whispers hint at dark magic infiltrating an already enigmatic town. Given the duo's storied backgrounds, audiences can anticipate a subversive and captivating twist on the genre.

This reunion of Grabinski, Lazar, and 20th Century Studios marks a continuation of their successful partnership in "Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice," a unique buddy action film infused with time travel elements. Currently in post-production, this film, written and directed by Grabinski, promises to debut next year with much anticipation.

Grabinski's animated adaptation of "Scott Pilgrim" offered a fresh perspective on the 2010 cult classic "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," drawing inspiration from Bryan Lee O’Malley's graphic novel. The series garnered critical acclaim and a fervent following, showcasing Grabinski's prowess in revitalizing beloved properties. He also lent his creative genius to the revival of the teen horror anthology "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

Meanwhile, Green, renowned for directing "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" in 2016, has garnered recent attention for the uproar surrounding "Coyote vs. Acme." This live-action/animation hybrid, starring John Cena and Lana Condor, was initially produced by Warner Bros. but unfortunately sidelined in 2023 due to tax implications stemming from the company's merger with Discovery. The film's shelving became a rallying cry for the embattled creative community in Hollywood, with numerous figures speaking out in support of the project and its unfortunate fate.

Grabinski emerged as one of Green's staunchest allies during this tumultuous period, actively shaping public perception of "Coyote vs. Acme" and refuting claims that its cancellation was due to quality issues. "Coyote vs. Acme is a masterpiece," Grabinski posted on social media shortly after Warner Bros. dropped the film. "The best of its kind since 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit'... The leads are immensely charming. It's cinematographically stunning. The animation is top-notch. The ending leaves everyone in tears. Isn't the goal of this industry to create hit movies?"

Fortunately, "Coyote vs. Acme" found new life with Ketchup Entertainment, which will now unleash the film onto theater screens in August 2026.
