Filmmaker David Leitch, renowned for his high-octane thrillers such as "Fall Guy" and "Bullet Train," alongside his production banner 87North, has embarked on an audacious collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios and Imagine Entertainment to orchestrate a cinematic heist for the ages. Amazon has secured an untitled crime action thriller, poised to become Leitch's next masterpiece, following his directorial stints on the rapid-fire "Bullet Train," the comic book sequel "Deadpool 2," and last year's exhilarating stunt-laden romance "Fall Guy."

Leitch, alongside his wife and producing partner Kelly McCormick under the 87North banner, will co-produce the film with Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum. The trio is guarding the plot details with the fervor of a well-secured vault, but it's revealed that the screenplay, penned by Mark Bianculli, revolves around a sagacious crew of bank robbers who leverage social media to chronicle their daring capers, engaging in a thrilling game of hide-and-seek with the law. Sources confidential to The Hollywood Reporter hint that this narrative centers on a group pushing the boundaries of criminal ingenuity and social media influence.

Bianculli and Imagine have nurtured this project for nearly a decade. Their ongoing partnership with Imagine also encompasses "After the Hunt," starring Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield, currently in post-production for a theatrical release on October 10, and last year's documentary "Frida," a tribute to artist Frida Kahlo.

Bianculli, who will serve as an executive producer, is no stranger to crafting compelling narratives. He co-created and executive produced the NBC series "Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector," starring Russell Hornsby and Arielle Kebbel. He also contributed as a writer and consulting producer to Amazon's Nazi-hunting series "Hunters" and recently worked on the Fox medical drama "Doc." In the film realm, Bianculli penned the upcoming reboot of "Cliffhanger," directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, and starring Pierce Brosnan and Lily James.

Represented by WME, TFC Management, and attorney Dean Bahat at Ziffren Brittenham, Bianculli brings a wealth of experience to the table. Meanwhile, 87North's credits include the recent action film "Love Hurts," starring Ke Huy Quan, with "Nobody 2" set to hit theaters on August 15. Leitch is represented by CAA and JSSK.

This new venture promises to be a high-stakes adventure, blending the tense excitement of a meticulously planned heist with the modern twist of social media influence, setting the stage for a heart-pounding cinematic experience.
