Evil Dead Burn stars Swiss actress Souheila Yacoub, Wednesday actor Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, and George Pullar. Sébastien Vaniček directs and writes the script alongside Florent Bernard. The trailer received its first public look at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last month, leaving theater owners spooked.

The horror franchise began with Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead in 1981, with the filmmaker directing the sequels Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, starring frequent collaborator Bruce Campbell. He revamped it as a producer on Fede Álvarez’s 2013 reboot, Evil Dead, followed by Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise (2023). In addition to the features, the franchise also spawned the TV show Ash vs. Evil Dead, starring Campbell and running for three seasons on Starz.

Evil Dead Burn opens on July 24, with another installment coming from writer-director Francis Galluppi. As for Burn, it is produced by Rob Tapert and Raimi. Romel Adam, Bruce Campbell, Lee Cronin, and Jose Canas executive produce.

The trailer paints a chilling picture of a woman navigating the aftermath of her husband’s death, only to find her in-laws have transformed into monstrous Deadites at their secluded family home. The film promises a terrifying exploration of familial bonds and the consequences of taking vows in life that live on even in death. The tagline “Family is the root of all evil” adds an ominous undertone to the proceedings, making Evil Dead Burn a must-see for horror fans.
