Starring Ana de Armas as Eve, a skilled assassin schooled in the ancient traditions of the Ruska Roma, she embarks on a vengeful quest to hunt down the murderers of her family. It's worth noting that the role was portrayed by Unity Phelan in "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum," albeit this prequel unfolds before the events of "Chapter 4." The stellar supporting cast includes the likes of Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, Keanu Reeves, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus. Sadly, it also features Lance Reddick in one of his final roles before his passing. My fingers are crossed for a mesmerizing, kick-ass experience, with the action sequences being nothing short of breathtaking. However, it appears as though the filmmakers are desperately striving to intertwine it with the John Wick universe, ensuring Keanu's presence, even as it strives to carve its own niche with the Eve character. Will you be among the audience?

Eve, a young female assassin, seeks justice for her fallen family. Set concurrently with the events of "John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum," the film chronicles Eve Macarro's (Ana de Armas) nascent journey into the assassin's art of the "Ruska Roma." Helmed by American action maven Len Wiseman, known for his directorial prowess in "Underworld," "Underworld: Evolution," "Live Free or Die Hard," and "Total Recall," among other TV credits such as "Lucifer," "Sleepy Hollow," "APB," "The Gifted," and most recently, "Swamp Thing," the film promises an adrenaline-pumping ride.

The screenplay, penned by Shay Hatten (of "John Wick: Chapter 3 & 4," "Army of the Dead," "Day Shift," and "Rebel Moon Part 1 & 2" fame), is based on characters conceived by Derek Kolstad. Produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski, Lionsgate will introduce "From the World of John Wick: Ballerina" to theaters nationwide, kicking off on June 6th, 2025, this summer.
