In an electrifying unveiling at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday, renowned filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki promised to take audiences on a terrifying journey into the heart of darkness with the highly anticipated sequel to his Oscar-winning masterpiece, "Godzilla Minus One," now titled "Godzilla Minus Zero." Set for a November 6th theatrical release by GKIDS, the film promises to delve deeper into the struggles of the Shikishima family as they confront an even more overwhelming and inescapable force.

"This film is a direct continuation of the story we began in 'Godzilla Minus One'," Yamazaki announced through a translator, thrilling the crowd with anticipation. Yamazaki further teased the upcoming film by sharing behind-the-scenes footage of his team at work, as well as the first-ever teaser trailer for "Godzilla Minus Zero." The trailer's final moment, showing Godzilla making its way through New York City towards the Statue of Liberty, elicited a resounding cheer from the audience.

"Godzilla Minus One" centered on Ryunosuke Kamiki as Kōichi Shikishima, a former kamikaze pilot grappling with PTSD and survivor's guilt as he faced off against Godzilla in post-World War II Japan. The film grossed over $110 million at the global box office and became the first Japanese production to win the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
